  1. hey while i love my m12fuel combo hammer drill and impact i will say that you pay for the power and durability with weight more than size for a 12v tool the hammer drill in HEAVY. That being said drills are usually longer than impact drivers and if you dont need the hammer function you could get a driver that can drill too(not hammer drill) and it would be much smaller and lighter. Bosch makes a compact driver in their 10.8v or 12v line but if you already have the milwaukee m12 line and want to stick with it ypu can look at the 2401 2402 2406
  2. Hi Thanks guys for all your input it was great reading and i learned a thing or two. In the end i went with a 12 inch rigid aluminum i picked up at amazon maybe should have gone for the 14 inch for $5 more but it served well for my purpose. The new milwaukee ones coming out soon look promising as quality tools like all milwaukee stuff (I actually have a major issue with a corded milwaukee rotary hammer that's on it's way for the third repair in one year all for the same problem but thats for a different post)and i liked the innovation of the built-in cheater bar so I'll keep an eye open for the relese.
  3. Hi guys So I'm in the market for a pipe wrench. I'm not a plumber and don't really run into pipes too often but when I have a job to do and I will be doing it myself I like to occasionally take the opportunity and add the needed tool to my collection. Ok so what do you think about pipe wrenches? who makes the best? are prices worth it? would you go cast iron or aluminum? I have some thoughts of the matter but would like to hear others too before sharing my findings thanks for any comments just so there is no confusion I added a pic of what I call a pipe wrench. I know there are other tools that answer to that name or do the same job so just to be clear...
  4. Hi The knipex pliers wrench is a great tool. I use it as a specialty tool for clamping Telegartner Cat 6 RJ-45 network keystones which became gold standard for high speed quality network installation. And the comfort handles allow for all-day use. I'm sure they would be great for other applications they were intended for but as mentioned here before i keep a clean tool set for network installation. There are other great auto adjust pliers from CH Hanson called self-Adjusting Groove Pliers pretty nifty and much cheaper than knipex
  5. Hi all I'd like to introduce myself. i'm from Israel. I do computer network and telephony installations as part of a computer service company for businesses here in Jerusalem. Very early in life i learned that having the right tool of the RIGHT QUALITY for the job makes the job so much more efficient, quick, clean and (yes) enjoyable, which led me to become a complete tool-o-holic. trying different brands i decided to break what seems to be a Makita-Bosch market domination and go with Milwaukee's fuel power tools and in an 18V market I try to use the m12 line as much as possible for it's great benefits of compact size and weight. That's me in a nutshell can't wait to here your thoughts
  6. Hey guys My friend needs a small reciprocating saw for small hard-to-get-to places that his 18v sawzall is just too big for Since I am on the milwaukee m12 platform I showed him my m12 fuel (brushless) hackzall which was great for his needs. Now since he's already invested in the makita 18v line he'd like to stick to it and was wondering if anyone has any input on the 18v makita SMALL reciprocating saw I think its the Makita XRJ01Z. His main concern is that the holding style isn't as control oriented as the milwaukee one. Any thoughts on that?
  7. Hi I'm looking into a cordless saw for multi-purpose use. Obviously they are meant for different uses but as an all around tool which would you go with?
