  1. So thanks to everyones advice i was able to find one on craigslist. Older guy who use to do some auto and wood work in his garage was selling his 30 gal husky compressor. Its got 5 hp. Hes used it to for everything i would minus painting a house, hes done small paint jobs. Its from 07 but hes kept good care of it. Plus i got it for 150:) so i got 150 to spend on tools for it

  10. Beats 2 ft of snow and -30 windchill, my families in north illinois and thats what they got..and i was at the beach today

For a living i work for public utlity..electric water wastewater natural gas... use to firefight and some medical issues threw a wrench in that career..tools used or use..hydraulic rams/spreaders/cutters..axes..halogan toolswhich are bad ass for demo work..now pretty much typical tools..multimeter , wrenches, sauldering, nothing fancy....nothing like running trains
  12. As long as your wire from main to sub isnt longer then 30ft the 4ga wire should be plenty for 100amp ..itd hold up more amps but 100 is where youd want circuit to trip..even in garage 100 amps is lot of current
  13. Thanks..ive used impact wrenches/air chisels before with my firefighting times but we always used our air bottles and change em out when empty
  14. Im glad i stumbled onto Tools In Action..thanks for all tje awesome tips and ideas. I didnt wanna buy a compressor and be unhappy with it...be an expensive paperweight

  16. Good point because thatd be a litttle annoying..id be okay if it filled between tires but after two nuts would be really annoying

Sounds like for painting the house which id hopefully be doing only once while we are here id be better off possibly renting a big.compressor or unless i find used one od course.   20. And craftsman is quality name..i maybe stopping at sears this weekend ! South central on east side..about hour south of orlando.. I did my firefigting with dept of defense in ky/tn ..alabama..and a tour overseas , its definately a job you have to have a passion for
  21. Thanks chase, didnt think to look at sears..thats a nice look compressor for the price! ..btw stay safe (i was firefighter for almost 5 years but due to lung issues had to atop)
  22. My biggest painting project is my entire exterior of house..and hopefully wood fencd one day
