Waterviolet

I am residing my home, and was planning on hardiplank, But I have come across a lot of 1/4" mahogany solid plywood. I am thinking that would look really great in a board and batten look on the outside of the home. Maybe with some pine or cedar? I have a good base to nail to. Or should I just give up the idea and go back to the fiber cement. I live in the Portland Oregon area so there is tons of rain. Thanks Doug
