These are the Sanyo cells. Interesting that you would find green (Sony cells) in a DCB204. I have yet to see a single Sony cell in the slide pack batteries.

Not sure which one is causing you the problem. I would exchange out the entire kit if within your purchase grace period. Or drop it by your local service center.

The blinking is to let you know the battery need's charging. The batteries are designed to handle large loads from various power-tools. The flashlight run's the battery down very slow. Lithium batteries have a threshold at which they have a point of no return. Meaning, drain them to low and they cannot be recovered. Once the light flashes, remove it and recharge the battery.

If you purchased this used, it is a very likely the tire's have worn it's course. Replacement ones run around $6. You did adjust tension properly?

You have a lot of variables in this equation that may not have just one answer. Your best bet, is to either exchange the entire kit, or take it to your local service center and have them look the system over.

Look's like some tweaks to the current model's. I like a lot of the new features.

Everybody has teamed up with the typical battery manuf. Dewalt is using the newer HC Sanyo cells, Bosch and Milwaukee are using the HC Samsung sells. Makita... who know's what they have up their sleeve with Sony. Panasonic is doing their own cells at 4.2ah.

Could be the brushes, if they are worn down and/or spring's not applying proper amount of pressure. I'd rule that out first, as it is the easiest and cheapest repair.
