  1. Only Dewalt's Hammerdrill's use the ROHM chuck. Not sure what they use across the pond, probably ROHM on all the XR/XRP drills. I've really enjoyed my ROHM pusher on my DC925, 927. DCD950 and 970, but during heavy use it has always self-tighten's to the point where it is extremely difficult to unlock and remove the bit. I've logged some hours on the 20v Max DCD985 with ROHM's Ratcheting version, and so far so good. I do prefer the ratcheting feel, over the simple "clip" feel on the ROHM Pusher.
  2. I wonder why they gave Milwaukee best overall? They didn't like the grip, it's bulky, Dewalt out-preformed the Milwaukee in the runtime, and speed test.... Hmmm :-\ Milwaukee does offer a metal sleeved chuck, and a jampot design, aside from that 12v Max stomped M-12!
  3. Never say never, but..... I doubt that will ever happen in yellow.
  4. I imagine it would be much the same as Porter Cables.
  5. Looks like it's official. It's up on Dewalt's site now. http://dewalt.com/tools/machinery-miter-saw-workstations-dwx726.aspx
  6. 14.4v has been posted on here as a "squeezed out" voltage line. I would look into either the new 20v max line, or the 12v max line depending on your overall needs? Yes, but it is sold as an aftermarket option. There are not any 14.4v kits packaged with lithium batteries.
  7. It was the Rohm Self-Tightening chuck when it launched. It may have updated to something else by now?
  8. I saw these the other day when the Dewalt Semi rolled into town. They are extremely well built, I did not have my camera on me to take any pictures. It's note worthy to mention the vapor lock cap on top of each box. They are so weather resistant that they have a pressure release valve built into the top to release any build up of vacuum pressure on the inside of the box. Imagine them sitting in the hot sun all day. The small case comes with 2 drop down container's built inside to store bit's and accessories, as well as a assortment of square containers to go inside the lower half. You can move them around, take a few out and put in a tool, remove them completely. The Medium container is just a large storage box with a removable insert found in your basic tool boxes. Like the insert seen below. The large container also included the insert, and storage slot's built into the back half of the box to store hand tools. The Dewalt UK website has a very interactive micro page that show-cases the Tough-System. Check it out Here.
  9. I'm sure it's a matter of getting the supply chain lined up. You never know what hick-ups may have arisen?

  12. Last I heard, everything was being launched early 2012.
  13. If your willing to put that much effort in to the organization of your tools, I can imagine the work you do with those tools is pure immaculateness! Nicely done, I'm very jealous!
  14. This is the only thing we know so far. From the picture it looks like 2 different radios are coming for the 12v/20v max line. Why 2 radios? Possibilities are one for the 12v max line, and one for both 12v and 20v? One could be a charger, one could be without the charger? Who know's?
  15. HA! Well I guess we all learned something today! That being said, I probably won't follow those instructions
  16. I have several Dewalt cordless drill that all have the Rohm plunger chuck, and I always us the motor to tighten and loosen the chuck. Where did you hear this from?

  19. So maybe all this wining about the change isn't so bad after all? Only time will tell.... (Cycle Life) I appreciate you doing those test's! I know testing tools can be a pain!
  20. These are currently not available in the USA, but should be available any day now.
  21. A hammer would work fine, just don't put a lot of force behind it. Use the red loctite, and apply a lite coat on the first few threads.
