  1. I'm not entirely sure what your question is. If you are asking if you can take your repair to a DeWALT service center in person, then he answer is definitely yes. DeWALT service centers are walk in friendly. Best of luck.
  2. I can't remember for sure, as I haven't messed with a 708 in a long time, but I believe that there is a tightening screw under the miter clamp. Look underneath the clamp handle and look for a screw that you can tighten. Hopefully that is correct and helps you out!

    Dcd995 gear issue

It's not a "quirk", it's just the way the gears mesh. It is really common in 3 speed drills.

It isn't a problem, just happens sometimes/with some if the drills. The 18v versions (dcd950/970) typically didn't do that, but the newer versions can. It's just part of the way this particular 3 speed transmission syncs up.
  5. Why do you need to send it to your brother to exchange? You can exchange it at any lowes, or take it to your nearest service center. I would definitely recommend having it replaced or repaired. If you open the tool yourself, you will void all warranties. It definitely shouldn't have failed, and I would get it take care of. Call 1-800-4-DeWALT if you want to find the nearest place to exchange or return it.
  6. If you're near a service center, take your batteries AND your charger to be tested. I am guessing that your charger may be bad.
  7. It's out now, but it will be at limited distributors at this point. You will start seeing it a lot more over the next month or two.
  8. There isn't a part number for it, but the dcd995m2 brushless hammer drill comes in a hard case. You would have to find someone who wants to get rod of their case. All combo kits are in bags now, and individual tools are in kit boxes.
  9. Take them to your nearest service center. If you do not know where that is, you can google it or call 1-800-4-DeWALT. If your batteries have yellow tops, they will both be under warranty.
  10. Not really, more like a 20v compatible promotional sku lik the dc970k-2
  11. That is a really old model. Unless you got it for practically free, I would send it back and look for a deal at any number of distributors on the dw304pk over the next month.
  12. Huh, interesting. It may be a geographical/technology difference. Mine works fine, but it's a different country, model, and technology being used. I couldn't really speak to yours, as I do not really know anything about radios outside the US. Sorry you are having issues, and I hope that they get resolved!
  13. This model is the 20v MAX equivalent of the DC970K-2 that has been promo'd in the past. It is primarily a Black Friday play.
  14. Which radio did you get? I have both the DCR015 and 018, and both get really good reception - even better than my truck.
