  1. You are so right, I keep my Festools on my truck and close to me. As far as other workers not knowing what they're looking at, I've had subs actually tell me that I need to get some quality name brand tools and get rid of those Harbor Freight wanna be's...I felt confident that day that if I did have anything come up missing it would be my Dewalt or Bosch not those.
  2. lol...I will be the dead winner if my wife reads this post. She occasionally stops by the job sites, I tell her that my crew does pretty good for a bunch of guys with no tools and no talent. At that point she rolls her eyes and leaves mumbling something.
  3. We do complete remodels with a custom cabinet division. I personally run a lot of Festool but try to keep my crew away from those... you can imagine why. One of the first thing we do when we arrive on site is set up our own charging station. We do have corded tools but with the battery technology improvements we are almost completely cordless.
  4. When I have my whole crew working at one site we run 16 chargers set up on 2 plywood totes and power strips...8 chargers per tote. Just shy of 60 batteries ranging from 1.5 amp to 4.0 amps, then of course we still run 18 volt but that is a whole different story.
  5. Hello, I purchased several of them. Approximately 50% of them came in with the drawers binding and either opening or closing hard. My dealer and I inspected them closely and found that those with issues had the drawer slide mis-aligned when they were installed. We had to remove the drawers from the case and carefully reinstall them ensuring that the two part slide engaged each other properly. Hope this helps someone. Eddy Wilson
  6. Hmmm, a Dewalt coffee maker would be cool.
  7. I'd take a few myself, I place one in each cordless kit I have currently so they're available whenever I need one. It saves me going back out to my trailer.
  8. I voted, I hope we don't lose this site...
  9. Welcome, it is a pleasure to use a quality tool. I had to make do with what I could afford or borrow when I was first married. As I could afford it I replaced them with quality tools and never looked back. Enjoy your new projects. Eddy Wilson
  10. lol...DeWalt is coming out with a sawmill??? Now that would be quite the rumor
  11. Hello, The "tool only" versions of the circular saw and reciprocating saw are available in a kit if you purchase the premium kit model number DCK592L2. The kits at the box stores have the stamped base and non-adjustable 2 way chuck on the reciprocating saw. Eddy
  12. I'm building my own inserts out of Fastcap's Kaizen foam. I've been quite happy with it.
  13. Cool and thanks for the post. I would love additional information on this conversion. Eddy
  14. JEVINK is absolutely correct, however you need to LOOK at the model numbers. I have had friends think they purchased the same set as me only to find out the set didn't include the same model circular saw and lower amperage batteries. "But they looked the same on the shelf" was their reply when I asked them if they looked at the model numbers. Shame on them for not taking the time to write down the model they were actually looking for. Eddy Wilson
