Answered my own question. Went to Home Depot and put a blade in a new Dewalt and it had the same play. I guess it's idiosyncratic to Dewalt.

Newbie with a stupid question. I just bought the above saw. When the blade is inserted there is about an eighth to a quarter inch play up and down as well as sideways. The saw still cuts nicely but my Milwaukee cordless has no play. Is this normal for Dewalt or should I return it to Home Depot? Thanks for any help you can extend me.
