is this maybe to challenge the makita drill which the batteries are not compatible with he rest of the lxt range?

Ok thanks for the advice. I can get about 150mm if I put some scrap wood under the piece I'm cutting. But it's a bit of a pain, especially when trying to cut skirting.

Hi. I'm currently using a makita mls100 mitre saw, but looking to get something bigger as the cut is only about 150mm,
I'm Going to get a dewalt saw to match rest of my kit. Anyone tell me the best saw to get, I'll be cuttin 170mm etc.

I just have to say how pleased I am with this circular saw. A lot more power than I expected from a cordless saw.
It made my job a joy to finish yesterday.
Does anyone have any views on the xr jigsaw as that's what I'm looking at getting next.
