BUT IT DOES NOT CHARGE A BATTERY??? Why not?? It is just a radio??? What were Ya thinkin? A "tool" would also charger all of the batteries that it uses! Come on DeWalt guys! I do love my radio but I need a charger that does it all too!!! Since I have so many DeWalt tools that DO NOT use the same battery!!! And DeWalt does not make all of its tools to fit only one battery system!

So...why didn't you do this to the new radio TOO??? Add both the 18 and 12/20V chargers to it!!! Would have made it an easy decision to buy the radio too! Now it sits in waiting status on my wish list... Sometimes innovation is so simple... it has to hit you on the head to make sense??? I love my DeWalt tools too...

This is a viable option I think for the future... My 18 volt batteries are dying off... I am making the transition to all 12 and 20 volt equipment. Looks like something could make the gap do-able? the 3.0 amp battery in a slide adapter made from an 18 volt battery case? small voltage drop resistor... Lots of horsepower... think it would be a hit for us guys that have lots of 18 volt equipment!!!! Doc

For those times when a battery is not needed? plugs into a car cigarette lighter or maybe even a 110 version? I use corded tools when power is available... and when not, I use my DeWalt!!! Just an Idea...

What do we have to do to get on the list for one of these? I am serious now! The waiting is just insane! And we know that the price gougers will be grabbing the first ones out and doubling the prices anytime they can!! So come on DeWalt~! Get off your ass!!!!

AND I AGREE!!! We need a smaller DeWalt die grinder type tool that utilizes the cut out tool or die grinder collets for every day use!!! I love the 18 volt one... But it is practically the only 18 volt piece I have left! I have moved up to the 12 / 20 volt everything!
