Is the protection board for over charge, short ciruit and over discharge inside the makita battery?

Thanks for the answer Many suppliers, for example at ebay, write in their offer that the protection ist in the battery. If I look inside the battery there is a small board with some smd parts. Now i am unsure what is right?

On my wish list will be a powerfile. Sorry but I don´t now the exact Name vor it. I built such a tool years go and since there I have never seen such a cordless tool. Look at the pictures and comment it Best wishes from Germany Wolfgang

Hey, I am new here with a question to the xr-battery-system 10,8 to 18 Volt Is there a protection circuit module inside the battery which protects from over charching, heat and short ciruit?
