  1. Yeah, I don't plan to switch ouright and by no means am I contractor but I believe in investing in good products instead of buying just the minimum to meet a persons needs.
  2. Thanks for all the input guys, MUCH appreciated. I was leaning more towards the 2720 but I figured I would reach out and get some other input from everyone. Just to be clear there's a pretty substantial difference in the power between the two if I am understanding what I am reading? I was looking for direct comparissons but couldn't seem to find any... I have a ton of Dewalt 20V stuff and thought about just buying the bare 20V recip saw but everything I can find points to Milwaukee making a much better saw. I figured it wouldn't hurt to get in to their 18V platform as they have some awesome tools that Dewalt doesn't offer unfortunately.
  3. Hey guys, Need some input/thoughts on this. I'm in the market for a new recip saw and torn between the M18 2720 or the 2621. I understand the inherent differences between the brushed and brushless motors etc however I find the pricing is neck and neck oddly enough so I was wondering if there was some less than obvious factor to take the burshed 2621 over the brushless 2720 Thanks for any input! Cheers, Ron
  4. I'm very seriously debating grabbing this based on the price but I was wondering if anyone here has the set or has used these and can speak to them? http://www.amazon.ca/DEWALT-D180005-Master-Hole-14-Piece/dp/B000HCZ4FW/ref=sr_1_2?s=hi&ie=UTF8&qid=1434319749&sr=1-2&keywords=hole+saw+kit They are on for $25 off right now on top of the listed price. I am not a contractor, more or less just a DIY/hobbiest person. However I would sooner buy something far more than I need to help ensure i don't have to replace it or have it not do the job when I need it to. The new Bosh DareDevil bits look good but I have no clue about pricing or ETA in Canada. Any thoughts or input about what might make the most sense I am ALL ears. Cheers, Ron
  5. So, I did a bit more digging and it turns out the Big Hawgs are made more for wood specifically (hence the design of the teeth, in hind sight, I should have known by looking at it...) Where as the Ice hardened are a multipurpose bit that do wood, metal, etc but don't cut wood as efficiently compared to the Big Hawg.
  6. Thanks Chrisk I've lurked here for a while and love the place! The only thing I can find that speaks directly to the Big Hawgs is that it may be designed specifically for fast drilling of larger holes... So I am not sure if that means if they suffer in durability compared to the Ice Hardened or what the trade-offs are (if any)..
  7. Interesting topic considering I am in the market for a hole saw set... I can't seem to find any clear comparison between the Milwaukee Ice Hardened Hole saws, their Big Hawg hole saws or any of the others... Does someone happen to know the tangible differences?
  8. Hey guys, I am in the market for a rotary tool and I cannot seem to find any opinions or comparisons between these. I am just trying to flesh out my tool kit a bit and I could see one of these coming in handy many, many times. If anyone can throw a good opinion my way as to which might be better (or if better for certain things, why they excel in those areas) I would greatly appreciate it! Cheers!
  9. Thanks again Gator, much appreciate it!
  10. Thanks for everyones replies, it's very much appreciated. Gator, I understand you are unable to comment direcly likely because of an NDA as terms of your employment so I thank you for shedding what light you can on the topic. Is there any references you can provide that I can look in to myself to try to understand why there is a gain over light duty applications and not heavier duty applications with the brushless motors? I simply don't understand the logic as my understanding is that with less friction less heat and more power is produced so in my mind there should be improvement accross the board (not to say by any means what you are saying is not true, I am just one of those guys that likes to understand the "why" behind the way something is, you work in the industry first and and will likely forget more than I will ever know haha) Cheers, Ron
  11. I am not sure if anyone is able to actually answer this or not but I was wondering if there is any confirmed developent or ETA on Dewalt brushless recip saw, circular saw or a 20v caulk gun? Cheers!
