  1. I decided to go with the milwaukee. I bought a variable speed porter cable ROS I really like though
  2. Awesome, thanks. Yeah I looked at porter cable site and didn't see one
  3. I have an older wormdrive. I heard the new ones are lighter but it's the length of them that I find bothersome
  4. I have bosch 18v. I think 2016 is their year to update the circular saw and recip saw. Then again I thought it was bosch's year to do that in 2013 then 2014 and then I was sure it would definitely happen 2015
  5. I'm a righty but like the blade on the left of the motor like the wormdrive saws. I knew bosch made a sidewinder with this setup but I just read a bunch of reviews on amazon and thought there were too many complaints from people about the motor burning out after a few months of regular use and also cheap build quality. Me being a bosch fan boy, this is sad news but I did find out that milwaukee also makes a left handed corded sidewinder (6391-21) that got amazing reviews so I might go with that one. Does anyone own a bosch non wormdrive that has been reliable or know of a any other good quality corded left handed sidewinders? I'm hoping these amazon reviews are inaccurate and sometimes I feel like people who review on amazon don't know a drill from an impact driver. Thanks
  6. Thanks comp. that 5 in grinder looks like a beast. Getting some bony at money in a couple months and want to invest in well built tools
  7. Does anyone have experience with fein angle grinders? I really want the 5 in rat tail style one I saw on their site
  8. I've been waiting for bosch to release a new cordless circ saw and sawzall for over two years. I'm hoping 2016 is the year. I'm getting their wormdrive table saw this march to help with the waiting period.
  9. Id buy hilti or metabo for my 18v core tools and cover everything else with milwaukee 12v. Every contractor I've worked for (6 yrs) are still using nicad dewalt and even ryobi. Nothing against my bosch 18v, but it'd be nice to own a Rolls Royce over a BMW
  10. I moved out to California from Massachusetts and the only saw I brought out here is the bosch 18v jig saw. I've used it to cut studs, metal posts, tops off 6x6 fence posts. Nothing it's really meant for, but I realized how versatile a jig saw can be (with the right blade).
  11. Enough with the explanation points and introducing yourself every day. Name something about Frankie g or Nicholas shetley and I will buy up all your revolutionary state of the art tools
  12. I've been waiting for milwaukee to release one for months. I assumed it would be a bosch or metabo style 12v trim saw, but it looks like any other cordless 18v circular saw. Does anyone know the blade size on the milwaukee? I looked at the video and a pic but I can't know for sure.
  13. I have this impact and I like it a lot, but I also have the dewalt dcf886. Their specs are the same when it comes to rpm and ipm but the bosch is rated as having 150 more in lbs in tourque. For some reason my dewalt can drive 8x1/2 in lag bolts faster and with less strain.
  14. Still trying to figure out the buttons on this forum. Randall I know what you mean. My boss uses whatever tool is in his reach as a hammer. I have a dewalt brushless impact driver and I keep it away from him, reason being that it doesn't have a rubber moulding on the back of it. Instead it says "brushless" on the back of it. I feel he would puncture a hole in it
  15. I'm holding out on a cordless circular saw until bosch makes a brushless one. Hopefully they pick up the pace
  16. How is the m12 multi tool Javier? I had the bosch 12v and the batteries kept being too hot to charge after use and then the tool burnt out 2 weeks after I bought it. It happened when I notched cedar siding around windows
  17. I bought a ridgid 6 1/2 in corded circular saw. I bought because it's more practical for my week day job over my skil saw worm drive. It seems a little fragile to me, but I was cutting nominal 2x4's all day with it and it's very smooth. The blade that came with it is garbage though
  18. I know what you mean bk. I started out with the bosch platform but last year I decided to get a couple dewalt 20v tools. I'm that idiot that fell for the 20v title. I bought a sawzall and grinder thinking I could get a little more runtime out of them. Now I'm torn between which oscillating tool I want more
  19. Thanks guys. Hey Chris, I never heard of Rochester but I heard of rochesta
  20. I think I'm gonna order one. Seems like a usefull attachment and it won't take up too much room in the case
  21. Cool. I might wait off on getting a cordless circular saw until then. I would like something small but with a lot of runtime. The one saw I own is a skil worm drive and I'm getting tired of lugging it around to job sites when I just need to make cuts into 2x or plywood.
