  1. No sink, the room is too small and it isn't normal to have a sink in such a small room in my country (New Zealand) I'm working on the bathroom now so the finished pictures will come in a few weeks Work in progress In my next house I will have a sink outside the main toilet & bathroom. This way if someone is occupying the bathroom or the toilet you can still wash your hands, put makeup on or brush your teeth.
  2. Before, during and after - my DIY toilet upgrade. I really should have taken a photo before I started ripping things apart. I had to pack the wall out because the new toilet didn't line up so I made a shelf and put some LED lights behind the glass tiles to double as a night light. Epoxy resin holds the glass tiles down & doubles as the grout.
  3. My wife asked me to make her "something that I can sit on when I bath a baby & it would be good if it can be used as a step stool as the baby gets older" So I went to the shop to find a distinct lack of materials but I was eager to start right away. Necessity is the mother of invention, so I saw a pile of fire wood that I could use. The timber was an old picket fence. All I used was a sander, saw, drill & hammer Add a bit of stain, glue, some nails and your done I didn't have any long runs so I had to sandwich & glue offcuts to make the side rails. The decorative nails also add support (i have tested it while holding a big bag of cement - 135 KGs / 300 pounds no problems)
  4. Long time listener - 1st time poster. I have been watching Tools in Acton on youtube for ages so I have decided to sign up to the forum to share some of my work for everyone to view. I made this for my father in law (the person who has everything) for his 60th birthday. It is made for spare Kwila decking timber left over from from his deck. This outside sink connects to the garden hose via a hidden door. It works as a sink, ice box & seat. The extendable mixer allows for an easy cleanup for little spills. It is plumbed so it can easily be drained via a hidden tap It is held together with wood glue, home made Kwila dowels and Kwila briskets (if I could afford/justify a Festool Domino I would be using one)
