  1. I really had to talk myself down on this one, ended up getting a pair of the cobalt cutters and a pair of the orbis cutters. Also picked up a couple blow guns from the clearence section too. Good find man!
  2. I have one of the life proof cases on my phone and although it can be annoying to type on sometimes the case was definitely worth it. If I wasn't on call most the time though I would probably just have a simple phone and leave it at home most the time.
  3. I use my Dewalt one way more than I ever thought I would. I originally bought it just as a fuel gauge for my lower 1.5 ah batteries but I started taking it anytime I have to roadtrip for work to charge up my ipad.
  4. I went to home depot last night to use a $20 gift card to get some ice melt and a pair of gloves. Ended up leaving the store with a Bosch gll2 laser level, pair of gloves, and a couple flashlights. The worst part is I forgot to use the gift card and didn't even get the ice melt because they were out of it! I don't even know what happened in there lol.
  5. Nothing beats the first time you use a new tool and it lives up to the hype you gave it.
  6. Those are pretty sweet pliers, congrats to the winners.
  7. Mine are suppose to be delivered today
  8. I've have the harbor freight ones with the same type of open end design and they worked fine for what I was using them on. Definitely were a lot quicker that using a normal open end wrench but I don't think you can really put a ton of torque on them. I've checked out the Husky ones last time I was in HD and they seem to be a better finish than what was on the Harbor Freight ones.
  9. Auto Mechanic is about the number one thing I would like to learn. I would love to have the space and time to mess around with some older cars and get them running well.
  10. I'm right next to lake erie myself and I'm loving this weather. I bought a new snowblower this year that I can't wait to try out but other than that I am perfectly content having a green winter.
  11. I bought a pack of the diablo pruning blades a few years ago, they have worked really well for keeping a willow tree at bay. The blades last a really long time too, I just spray them down with wd-40 after to clean off any sap from the branches.
  12. I'm hoping to find one of these on clearence after the holidays but I doubt they'll be any left. I have a few of each tool there but at the right price it never hurts to have spare spares....
  13. I work in IT and I have been using the linesman style ones as my everyday carry now. The cutter on them exceeded my expectations too, can't wait until they get a little more broken in.
  14. I really like the new radio, definitely high on my list of things I want to get but can't justify yet.
  15. I have the slip-joint version and they work pretty well. I ordered the largest ones from Engineer over a month ago and I am still waiting for them to be delivered. I think it would be really cool if they came out with a vice grip type version of the pliers, seems like that would really be use full for tough screws.
  16. This thing looks awesome, I wonder how the price will be on it. I love my current 886 but the three speeds really makes this one appealing to me.
  17. That looks great! That's some solid redundancy for the data center too!
  18. Awesome! I have the same screwdrivers, they are pretty nice and definitely have held up to some abuse. Count me in for the fastback though, they don't sell those at the Home Depots in my area.
  19. I'm 8-4 and can usually spend about 5 hours a week working from home if I want to. I have a second job too where pretty much I just work as needed which is usually later at night for 4-5 hours at a time.
  20. I have one of the 18g Airstrikes and so far the things has been very reliable. I think I've ran probably about 750-1000 nails through it so far and I haven't had any major issues, just had one strip of nails that seemed to jam a few times. After the I switched to a different strip I was off and running again with no issues. I would say as long as you give it a real quick wipe down at the end of the day you should be alright and the nailer will be pretty reliable for you.
  21. My area is really humid too and I had a lot of tools that rusted pretty much over night after the first couple humid days. After I cleaned them up I used some of the boeshield T9 spray on them and I haven't really had a problem since. I sprayed them down pretty heavily and then let the T9 dry up on them overnight. I've tried a couple other anti-corrosion sprays like Fluid film and crc something or other, both of which were okay but they left the tools really slick and hard to hold on to.
  22. I agree with Chris on this one, definitely a nice cabinet saw.
  23. I have a good amount of Ryobi stuff and so far none of the tools have been disappointing. I've been using their hybrid fan a ton lately because I've been doing a lot of work in data closets and that thing is worth its weight in gold. I also have the airstrike brad nailer which is one of my favorite tools to use, the thing just works without any hiccups. It's a cool line too because it allows you to get a cheaper version of a bunch of different tools that you might only use once in a blue moon. Now with that being said I still use Dewalt for things I use very often such as my impact and drill so I don't know how a Ryobi tool would hold up with that kind of usage.
  24. I'm making the jump and getting rid of cable August 1. I'm moving into a new house and I figured I can save probably about $120 a month just by getting internet rather than a cable/internet/phone bundle. I have a bunch of random networking hardware so I keep getting these really elaborate ideals of how I would like to wire up my whole house for streaming from a centralized media server but for the time being I will probably just use a Roku box on my TV and possibly an HD antenna because my area gets a good amount of over the air HD stations.
  25. I use to work as a rep for a dietary supplement company so I meant a ton of different UFC fighters that we sponsored. One of the coolest guys that I got to hang out with a few times was Clay Guida, he was just a really down to earth dude. I also had to work with a few of the different ring girls from the UFC but unfortunately they were usually miserable to work with and thought they were some a-list celebrities. Currently I do some part time work at an athletic training facility in Western New York so I've become friends with a few different NFL players that were drafted from the University at Buffalo. One of my best friends actually just had a roster spot for the Bills but was released during the mini camps.
