That's one hell of a view!! Nice

Me too BK. I've seen the limited run Makita in Black and that is cool. Plus save the boobies pink would be pretty cool too. Maybe a dark blue with bright green lettering...,,,hmmmmmmmm
Um Chris, I think your getting a little confused with all that green coolaid you've been drinking lately!! just put a Makita sticker on your festool drills and you will have prototypes!

Seems that the jigsaw is not on the horizon for ths year anyhow maybe 2015. But u never know.
Not planned for release this year, I only saw up to december, keep your fingers crossed for early 2015!

Makita USA seems to be waking up by importing the newer Brushless tools quickly =)
Hell yeah they do!! Very exciting stuff Hooray for Makita!!!!
-
DR, I'm not sure on the Dewalt stuff.. gotta be someone around here that knows!
-
Man with that rafter hook it looks so much like a copy of the Milwaukee fuel circular saw. I know its just that every circular saw pretty much looks the same anyways besides color. Does Dewalt still have two different 20v max circular saws. When they launched if you got the tool in a kit you got a staped steel shoe over magnesium, and the recp didn't have an adjustable shoe and possibly the 4 way blade holder. I'm not 100% on the blade holder though.
Ahh, don't be a hater just because your jealous!! it must be hard watching Makita beating up I'm Milwaukee! LOL. Just messing my man!

I might.....MIGHT....be interested in the brushless saw. To this day my favorite cordless circular saw was my Makita. Light and easy to use. Still...it's going to be a hard choice between that and the Fuel.
Makita all the way!!! Come on.... you know you want it

No doubt that Milwaukee has some impressive stats, it would be great to see some head to head action with some of the top of the line offerings from various manufacturers!
It's really hard to ignore the tool nut deal, if your not already married to one particular brand and could use a impact and drill it is definitely the way to go. If you happen to have 4 Makita batteries I think you could drill non stop all day they charge so fast.
I'm assuming that real world there isn't a giant difference between the Milwaukee and the Makita, if your into Milwaukee already then go that route.
If you do go tool nut deal, go with the xt252m deal.. it's a little more expensive but the impact is much nicer (lxdt01).. the drill is the same in both kits and is insane!!

Ner the wife is that little angel on the shoulder and were the devil on the other shoulder or maybe it's the other way around.
Haha! I'm sure she thinks she is the angel and you all are the devils, I tend to see things the other way either way, we have her out numbered!!!

Dominic, welcome!! It's good to make a Makita guru around here with all these looney Dewalt and Milwaukee nuts..
Let's show these guys that real power tools aren't red, yellow or blue, their TEAL baby!!
I'm guessing those are a group of Makita executives in the pic with you! Nice!! Good to know people in high places

Today, I saw with my own eyes, in person, proof of new tools coming from Makita by the end of the year
NOVEMBER:
5.0ah batteries
2 port battery charger. http://professional-power-tool-guide.com/power-tool-forum/index.php?/topic/4914-two-port-multi-fast-charger-dc18rd/ (Charges 2 batteries in the same ti.e it currently takes to charge 1)
BRUSHLESS 6.5" circular saw!!!! http://toolguyd.com/makita-brushless-circular-saw/ (European model DHS680, ours won't be same model number) I don't even think it's avaliable in Europe/overseas yet!!
DECEMBER
Oil impulse driver. http://toolguyd.com/makita-18v-oil-pulse-impact-driver/
There was some other random stuff but just small consumable things.. I didn't pay much attention to it
Unfortunately no mention of the brushless jigsaws or new dtd148 impact
This is some great news for us makita fans!!

Thanks bigmikez! Would you mind telling my wife that
I really do place a lot of value on being organized, customers really love it and often it adds instant credibility to me when they see my setup!
-
Nice review as always! Any idea how It compares to the Makita 18v X2 (36v)?
-
Ok, so..... I heard from a very solid source that this charger will be introduced in the US this month! Not sure of a date
-
That is one sweet impact! I'm due for and upgrade and this will be it when it hits our shores!!
That thing looks fast
I still have the impacts that I got when I bought into the lxt line about 6 years ago (btd141 I believe) and one newer lxdt04 they all get daily use and I have never had a problem with any of them! I can only imagine the new 148 is gonna be a huge upgrade!!!
-
No longer for sale
-
Alright, since people are throwing numbers around I'll show the severity of my sickness!!
