  1. Here is the sander he's talking about. http://www.lowes.com/pd_749791-70-DWE6423K_1z0wcl4__
  2. Sorry Chris, but that is an image I do not want burned into my mind.

    Paintball

I still go with some friends from work about 3 times a year. It's really fun, but it can be extremely expensive. They have split paintball into two categories, woodsball ( playing in the woods, more like military clothing and weapons) and tournament ( expensive guns with computers, tournament jerseys, inflatable obstacles, mostly indoor). I use a gun ( DYE proto rail- about $500) with a automatic electric feed hopper that will feed up-to 50 balls in 3 seconds. The gun has a chip that will let you shoot semi-auto or full auto. They also don't use CO2 much anymore for air, it's mostly nitrogen. Paintballs cost about $60 for a case of 2000. That may seem like a lot, but my friends and I usually buy 4-8 cases to share when we go and play for a day. Each of us are holding about 6 pods (160-200 balls per pod) on us and that usually goes pretty quick. Don't let these prices discourage you if you haven't tried it or are wanting to go out for fun. Most places that are set up for paintball have really good gear to rent and is much more affordable that way. BTW, if anybody thinks that my gun is expensive, check out the DYE DM Matrix paintball gun and think of how many tools or maybe even a Festool you could buy. http://shop.dyepaintball.com/dye_am/marker-dm14-blue-polished-xx-edition.html
  4. Stuart on Toolguyd just posted this. http://toolguyd.com/milwaukee-organizer/. It's definitely not what I was expecting and to be honest, disappointing as well. I think the market is saturated with these small parts organizers. Don't get me wrong, I think they are useful, but a tool / parts organizer would be a lot more desirable to me. If Milwaukee would come out with one of those and actually have Home Depot stock them in the store, unlike Bosch's L-boxx, I believe they would make a good profit just off of having them accessible to consumers and contractors who want something a little more organized than a bunch of tools scattered in various boxes.
  5. This is true. The arbor is not long enough for a dado stack. That was the main reason I went with the DWE 7490X.
  6. I see a Wally trophy inside the tool box. It's a NHRA drag racing trophy. This has to be custom made for one of those race teams.
  7. Comp, I think you left out the round trip airline ticket or at least the milage fee to drive to CA.
  8. Reminds me from the Charlie Brown Christmas special where all the kids are dancing at the play rehearsal.
  9. First off, I love to go fishing and I don't mind going out and ice fish as long as I know the water is hard enough to hold me up. After I saw this video, I'm not sure which is more dangerous, the ice or that massive Radial arm saw blade being used to push that jon boat on the ice. This is definately a new use for an old saw blade. http://www.wideopenspaces.com/saw-blade-driven-ice-sled-machine-actually-works-video/?utm_content=bufferc2449&utm_medium=social&utm_source=facebook.com&utm_campaign=buffer
  10. Bigmikez, if you don't mind, let us know how you like that 3/8 m12 fuel Impact wrench whenever you get it. I've been thinking about getting that one or the 3/8 m18 version.
  11. I have that same Makita model and really like it. Blades are easy to get at most Home Depot stores. The only thing I do not like is that it doesn't come with a dust bag. I know most people hook up a shop vac or dust collector, but you won't be able to do that without an adaptor since the dust chute is oval in shape. I picked the adaptor and dust bag off of amazon for around $35.
  12. You mean the "redneck" version of LASIK eye procedure?
  13. Alright, I'm now thinking it's going to be... OS50VC 1/2 sheet orbital finishing sander for the Drywall project.
  14. MM, I'm thinking either a circular saw or a 18V planner.
  15. Nice looking shop Chris. My shop is the back yard whenever winter decides that it's done. Where are you planning to put the other light up at? I'm guessing right above where the Kapex is sitting?
  16. I take it the Makita green doesn't go all that well with the blue collection that you have? lol
  17. I wouldn't say he's on his own, I have a Ford and really wouldn't own anything else.
  18. That's what I was wondering about with the dust deputy's. I'm looking at picking one up and building something to collect the dust in. I'm not a huge fan of using a bucket or two and dragging it along with either a dust collector or a regular shop vac.
  19. Nice job on the video. I wouldn't mind a post on how you built that box to hold the dust. Which Dust Deputy is that version?
  20. The compact brushless drill makes sense to me because of the smaller size and lighter weight compared to the M18 FUEL line of drills. But the impact to me isn't going to sell as well by itself. The impact kit with two batteries is going to cost around $199. For $30 dollars more, you can pick up the FUEL brushless impact with the 3 speed settings and have a bit more versatility. I believe the only reason they came out with that impact is to combo it with those compact drills.
  21. This is the project that I'm going to do once Christmas is over. http://www.toolboxbuzz.com/cordless-tools/drilldriver/quick-drill-storage-solution/
  22. My local Home Depot has a 2 pack of the M12, 3.0 batteries for $79.00. This is the same price for one 4.0 M12 battery. Also, they have a 2 pack of the M18 3.0 batteries for $129.00.
