pretty sure the climate plays a important role too. i know a framer here in my area and hes doing that since 30y. you can tell that hes out in the weather all day long.

working here in the desert is crazy. 100-115 degrees. the sun is amazing strong. and that how his skin etc looks like.

  2. Not the same power as pnuematic at all nor the same speed.... paslodes got way more power then the dewalt and is faster iv had issues befor with a dewalt framer then it got fixed and i was a little bit happyer with it but to me it could never take the place of a paslode or a pnuematic nailer

ok the paslode uses those fuel cells to get more power right?!

  3. I use the Makita MAC 5200 and its really a great unit.....since my back isn't what it use to be I like the wheels for moving it around, the handle folds down so it fits in tight places well. I've done lot's of texture, paint, framing and always keeps up, it even does pretty well with air tools for its size.

its kinda on the loud side right? somewhere around +90 db

  4. I have never actually timed it but it fills pretty fast. Now I'm going to time it when I get home! I looked at the VT20TB too but the bull was more than enough for me and a little easier to sit on my shop bench where I store it. I also felt like the controls were blocked a little bit on the VT20TB.

yeah that would be great if you can time it.

i just cant make a decision which air compressor i gonna get

    Ingersoll Rand P1IU-A9 ($300) 4.3 CFM at 90 PSI

    Rolair FC2002 ($250) 4.1 CFM @ 90 PSI

or going a bit bigger with CFM

    Makita MAC5200 ($300) 6.5 CFM @ 90 PSI

    Rolair VT25BIG ($440) 6.5 CFM @ 90 PSI

  5. I love it. It's a little heavy but I'm a pretty good size guy so it isn't too bad to lug around. I mainly use it around the house to air up tires and do random jobs. It's great for doing trim work.

yeah CFM is great on it. how fast does the air compressor fills up the tank?

i was looking at this one too, but then i also saw the bigger version -> VT25BIG and VT20TB
