problem with having a festool router for a general shop tool is your gonna get a guys throw it around like a $50 black and decker......

Perhaps they incorporated the feature on the saw only to decide later to come out with a rip fence or not, based on demand...
that is probably the answer.... or in a future release have the fence as an option.....

if your not routing production there is no need for that much power, what you say your doing can be done easily with a 2 1/4 HP...
Fine woodworking Magazine just had a router shoot out with Bosch Milwaukee and Dewalt coming in top 3.....yes I still read actual magazines.......

my right hand made in to a fist spells my name on my tools......just kidding....I don't work in the field any more or a shop among other workers so I don't really need my name on them however back in the day I used to hide my name somewhere under a cover plate or somewhere not noticeable so that way if it came time to proof something it was there still and not scratched off because it wasn't right in your face......

oh for sure the regular m12 drill or impact will do anything a DIYer needs to do, the M12 fuel set even better I have these along with the M18 fuel hammer drill and impact.....the average guy don't need those but on the other hand sure is nice to have as i say....passin power.......however I seem to grab the M12 Drill over the M18 drill most times....

working on a TV stand with some black ash, got some scrap pieces so I figured I make some cheap gifts with a little bit of cutting and sanding......$3 for some candles......

I know exactly what that is.......that is a TCU-345 extension bracket for a DWH-504 that allows the DWR-564 to soften the effects from the DWU-403......

you guys have black friday we have boxing day....neither of which have been all that great for sales unless you get 1 of the 3 things they slash prices on .........
some of our stores are starting to get on the bandwagon but truth be told the sales are lame at best.......sure 10% or 20% off here and there but no reason to get up and rush around at 6 AM
