  1. I have the greenworks 40v 16" chainsaw. It's the real deal, and not having to deal with oil/gas is huge. I'll be getting my hands on the dewalt eventually for sure.
  2. I think the chainsaw is wishful thinking, and will probably stay 40v. I do expect/hope/bank on there being a 20v hedge trimmer. You don't need 40v for that, and all the other makers including the lower tier Black/Decker carry a 20v sized hedge trimmer.
  3. Oh yeah! This'll be my last OPE that I'll be swapping out for a DeWalt. if it's as good as the Greenworks I have, it'll be a solid gas replacement tool.
  4. LOL I have their tile saw... it's actually really good... it's a beast.
  5. My 380B didn't have the light; I bought it as the bare tool. The DCS387B I upgraded to this past year does have the light.
  6. Amazon.com (direct, not reseller) had the bare saw up for pre-order, I put my order in.
  7. ooooh hog ring style available, sweet! As others have said, I don't like having a socket stuck on the wrench needing something to depress the pin, so hog ring is the way to go.
  8. Kinda nifty, I like it. WTF is with not giving a 5AH battery at that price point??
  9. I was really surprised. I guess the Greenworks is really developing a lot of pressure against the smaller nozzle, versus the DeWalt going more for volume... the Greenworks has a heavier impeller that can withstand leaf mulching too, so that may be part of it. I need to get a picture up of the DeWalt's fan (the tube comes separate so you get to see it up close)... it looks just like a jet engine, cone and all.
  10. OK, I put a review up for the blower. Bottom line, it's around the same power as the Greenworks 40v brushless, while also having 50% more runtime. Not bad! http://www.amazon.com/review/R25KTCRRL6VDSZ
  11. I got this bad boy in yesterday, and trimmed / edged with it. I was mighty impressed, especially for something that takes a little tool battery. I posted up an amazon review, which I linked below that has more detailed thoughts. I should get the blower in tomorrow to try out. Now if DeWalt would just put out a 20v hedge trimmer, and a good 40x chainsaw, I'd be all team yellow for outdoor stuff!! http://www.amazon.com/review/RX0UUB3S1ZXD0
  12. Check out DeWalt's trimmer string... it's in a funky X shaped cross-section. I bet it'll cut great. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00TF02JXC
  13. I wrote up a review, having owned both. Enjoy! http://www.amazon.com/review/R3L02EQI2K4E08
  14. I pre-ordered the 20v, but I am hoping there's a few more tools coming in 20v, mainly a hedge trimmer. Edger would be nice too since the trimmer head doesn't pivot like the other electric trimmers I've used.
  15. Uh, I bought the 10" tile saw, plus moved everything I have to 20v last year... don't want to even think about it, it's in the $2-3k range, the tile saw was almost 800 by itself. I'm gonna buy the 20v OPE stuff this year probably.
  16. Apparently DeWalt is jumping in with both feet this year into the OPE category, with 40v "pro" tools, and 20v home stuff. I'll be buying everything they put out 20v-wise. Maybe they'll even do an edger since the head on the trimmer doesn't rotate or take accessories.
  17. I just need a hedge trimmer, and possibly a chainsaw (unlikely I know), to completely swap over from my Greenworks stuff!!
  18. It looks just like the type of thing they used in the opening heist of Dark Knight haha!
  19. I bought two of these... one of the bracket sets I got, I used for a miter, the other set, I used to mount a bench vise and chainsaw sharpener onto, so that I didn't permenantly mount anything to my benches, to keep them tidy and keep the dust off them when I'm grinding mower blades or such.
  20. They don't have nail/screw slots on the back?? I guess I never looked.
  21. I've gotten a good bit of use out of mine: Pulling up about 400 s.f. of VCT (didn't 100% scrape all the mastic, just getting the tiles up)Cleaning up / trimming around outlet holes after tiling a wallcutting door jambscutting sink drains / PVCIt's paid for itself for sure, especially on pulling up the VCT!!
