  1. I'd be all over this if the green fairy hadn't visited and sprinkled green pixie dust all over my garage. Pictures some day soon perhaps are necessary.
  2. Has anyone done the math on how large diameter bit you can use? I assume that you can't use a big rail and stile set, but you wouldn't do that with a trim router anyway. What sort of use would you use a trim router for that would require a larger bit or a slower speed?
  3. Looks great. I know this is a probably a newb question, but why did you use random shorter boards? I presume you'll trim it all down to a single length but why not start with boards more or less the same length to start with?
  4. Haha. Welcome to the Team Acid Green! Ryobi One+ tools are like potato chips - you can't stop with just one.
  5. This. The teakettle is the 882. I've got the lunchbox vac and its deafeningly loud.
  6. OMG! OMG! M12 Light Saber!!!!! (Well... if the hook comes off)
  7. I love building things but painting them always take 10x as long because I just despise it so much. I need minions to do my painting...
  8. OMG - nail holes! I'm scandalized.
  9. Make that $20. http://www.homedepot.com/p/EGO-15-in-56-Volt-Lithium-ion-Electric-Cordless-String-Trimmer-with-Rapid-Reload-Head-and-2-5Ah-Battery-ST1502SF/300638783

Mine broke the first time that I used it. However, I sent it back and Milwaukee repaired it with the updated, metal levers from the more expensive rocket lights. Oddly enough, the repair order ticket said that it wasn't a covered repair but that they were repairing it anyway for customer goodwill, or some such nonsense. My guess is that they used that language so that authorized repair centers wouldn't be on the hook to fix it. So, I'd buy it and have it repaired should you run into this particular problem.
  11. The standard CT36 is HEPA compliant but does not have auto-clean. The Festool CT36 AC has autoclean, but is not HEPA compliant. I've read that you can replace the standard filter on the CT36 AC with the HEPA version to make it HEPA compliant, but then you have to turn off the auto-clean feature or it will destroy the filter.
  12. If the Milwaukee version of the Nilfisk does HEPA and auto clean at the same time, it has the Festool beat on at least that feature.
  13. Milwaukee could possibly tell if a saw was part of a kit or not, but I very much doubt HD would check or care to check. I'm not even sure that the box on the combo promo even has a S/N on it for the free saw.
  14. They've updated the product page to say that the adapter isn't included now On a separate note - how'd you get your hands on one? HD.com doesn't even list the P440 and Ryobi still says "coming soon."
  15. Drilling holes into brick and concrete walls to hang stuff is something that happens more often than you'd think for those that live in masonry houses. Not so much in the south and MW where everything is made of wood, but the NE has a lot of houses that fit this bill.
  16. Lmao! Did you just have extra teak lying about?
  17. That listing has been removed. Sounds like there was some funny business.
  18. Those clamex fasteners are cool looking, but if you're never going to be taking the thing apart, what's the point?
  19. I was thinking Star Trek too based on the shapes. That's beyond cool I have to say.
  20. Wow. That looks like a career ending injury there.
  21. That's an awesome old-school drill. The box rocks
  22. IKEA is one of the largest retailers in the world with almost 400 stores and 180,000 employees all over the world. While size isn't really proof that they're going to last forever, a company of that size doesn't disappear quickly or without serious mismanagement.
  23. The new Colt 1.25 has been rumored since September of 2015. I remember seeing it listed on Lowes.com as "shipping January, 2016" for a while. I believe Acme also had it listed as a preorder as well. At this point, I'll believe it when I see it shipping. A two year plus lead time teasing a minor update to an already great router is moronic.
  24. I don't mind screwing the frames to the posts with big lag screws. I just don't want ALL of the weight on the hardware as I have a feeling they'll work their way loose over time. I like the idea of hiding the screws behind plugs - perhaps I'll hide some timberlock lags. Now, all I have to do is figure out if I want to invest in a planer to make it out of hard wood or just cut up 2x12s and make it out of SYP.
  25. This is an awesome chicken coop. I especially like the corner joinery. I've been kicking around in my head building a bunk bed and was trying to figure out a good way to join the bedframes to the posts without using lag screws or going mortise & tenon and these joins look interesting.
