  1. I work RedWing loggers for about 5 years and then switched to Carolina loggers for about half the price. They seem to last just as long for me (between 1 and 2 years) and are far more comfortable. I just bought another pair of redwings to try again in January and after about a month of daily use I went back to my Carolinas. I'm sure a lot of it is personal preference and what you do in yours but that's my 2 cents.
  2. Personally, I really like it. I wish DeWalt made a case like that that had the dovetails in to put the inserts from their bit cases right in. Those cases waste a lot of space IMO. Especially if you have them inside another box like you do there. I like the look of these cases too. Seem sturdy especially for the price. I might just do this myself now that I saw your setup.
  3. I'm not too concerned with the handle shape, but out of the ones I've used, (Wera, Craftsman, Klein, Snap On) The Wera is the only one that the tip of the #2 phillips doesn't round off on. Even after the laser etching wears of, and it does at least for me, they still grip the screw the best and the tip is still the same shape as when I bought it.
  4. I like the look of the new Milwaukee stuff but I bought these http://chadstoolbox.com/nws-138-49-200-chrome-fantastico-plus-heavy-duty-lever-side-cutter-200mmand they're quickly becoming my favorite over Klein. I've been looking for reviews that compare these with the other big brands but I haven't found any good ones yet.
  5. I'm curious as to what you went with myself. I'm also in the market for a saw. I will add that I have a few different saws and for years used them on saw horses or on the ground until I bought a stand. I didn't think much of it. Last year I picked up a used saw that came with a Ridgid stand on wheels and since I've been using it I don't think I can ever go back to using a saw without a stand or one without wheels. I love how much more convenient it makes it. Not super easy to load into a truck or van by yourself but it's just so convenient for everything else I don't even care. At this point I'd rather that Dewalt slider was $20 cheaper instead of coming with a free stationery stand because I know I won't be using it.
  6. Gear wrench sets have been on sale at advance auto parts for some time now. I've bought two of the $70 sets for $29.95 and so far I love them and lifetime warranty as well.
