  1. I carry a leatherman sidekick for my EDK. It's basic and most importantly for me, has a pocket clip. It runs about $50.00, so that would be in your range and something that most people would use/appreciate. Also, a LDM could be an option? A Bosch 100' is $70.00 at Home Depot... with the reviews being 4.5/5 stars. Just my two cents, let us know what you end up deciding.

    DeWALT

My company does that all the time, I don't think that's an issue at all.
  3. I would think they will get coming out with something for sure. With all of this silica stuff, I am sure they are going to have all sorts of dust extraction stuff, so in theory a cordless vac would also be with that too... in my opinion.

    DeWALT

While their logo is copyrighted, I question if you can do this or not. If it is just a shirt that you want to wear to match your tools, I'm sure it would be fine. However, if you have any advertising on it whatsoever that is where you would get into trouble... so since your company is on the shirt and their logo, I would think it is a violation of their copyright and therefore illegal.
  5. @BMack37 100% agree. I get crap all the time about my weather guard tool box being so clean and organized... but I'll tell you one thing, I know where everything is at all times. If it's a drill, or down to a screw driver, I can tell you exactly where it is. I have been into small "house calls" for minor repairs when people call... so the main issue is I will never know what I'm getting into or what I may exaclty need. Now I can roll up with all my tools, fasteners, etc and be efficient. Opposed to going in and out 10 times getting my tools. After more research I'm super excited about the packout system. Also, I'll be curious to see if they add anything additionally for next year... not that I know what they should add, but the video I watched said there would be more to come? We shall see.

    New battery?

Hmmm. Yeah, I hear the arguments both ways. I guess I usually like my small batteries on lights, simple impacts, etc. I would be more inclined to buy the bigger batteries at the same price though.
  7. Yeah, I have not gotten pants this cheap maybe in my lifetime. Might be worth checking out?
  8. Woah! Yeah, those are sweet. Thanks, @BMack37

    Baby!

    Congratulations!!!!
  10. @framer totally agree. This is really cool, but with how everything is cordless I am not sure what I would use it for?
  11. Thensize thing isn't a huge deal to me personally, I would just like to see them shoot a little quicker with mofe consisistency.
  12. Good to know, thanks for the info guys. I'll check out Lowes asap!
  13. @BMack37, are they a flat face? Also, is it something you can use on wood? Or will it mark it up?
  14. I mean I guess I don't feel that it's relevant to what brand is on the box as long as it's high quality? Yeah these seem to be the cats meow, but that doesn't mean that they're better than the tough system boxes, as none of us have used them yet. As long as the companies keep improving and making products that are more ergonomical for the people that actually have to use them.. that's all I ask and ever will ask.
  15. That's awesome. For sure something that I'll be curious about in terms of a review.

    METABO

I have only heard positive too. Most of the strutural guys carry their grinders. With that, we have an industrial store that has Metabo (Bierschbach). I have asked about it numerous times... to which they tell me it's awesome. However, people don't know much about it so they don't sell loads of it.
  17. @framer just and FYI, toolaholic on IG put something up recently about the DeWALT trim guns and their tendency to leave marks on the finished product. He said its an easy fix and its minimal... but I figured I would mention it. We have an 16a and 18g on the site and I have not noticed it to be honest. However, I'm not a professional reviewer and shooting 2,000 nails a day.
  18. @TheBlueSmartie Yeah it would be fine for home use. It would be up to any task you would have, I think.
  19. WOW!!! That deal is outrageous. Even if the reviews were not A+ on the nailer that is still a smoking deal. I can't ever find anything that cheap!
  20. Hmm, interesting. I didn't realize that the gun counts the nails for you? Cool.
  21. @TheBlueSmartie More than double the torque and 200 or so on the RPM. The regular brushless isn't a bad drill, but it's not designed to get beat up, if that makes sense. It's a step below their fuel line, in terms of being a professional level tool. Not to say that it can't be used in that capacity, but the likelihood of it breaking or not being up to the application or standards are probably greater. @BMack37 might be able to give you a little better insight than I can. I own the fuel, I am speaking on specs and what my rep said.
  22. @SetBuilderse I have one as well. I originally just had the JR kreg and used a Irwin clamp. After stepping up my game I bought the larger jig and clamp. The clamp is alright, but I agree with the post above... it is only useful for the actual Kreg in my opinion.
