  1. Ahhh yeah so far I love the gear, bought that and the cordless jigsaw and I'd say its prob the best jigsaw I've ever used lol, just need to sort out something to help me save time on consistent rips Cheers for the link, will contact that site too and see how I get on.
  2. I bought the guide recommended for it and it wont cut anything under 25mm .... But when you see it used with the plunge saw they sell, the fence goes right up to the blade! Do they do any other versions that work correctly? I bought this originally: (PA-HKC 55) If you look at the rail on the top left theres an wider section of it, this hits the body when it gets to (roughly 25mm from the blade) and wont slide any further Having to free hand at the mo which is fine but costs time when you got lots of rips to do at a set measurement under 25mm
  3. Repaired under warranty in the end Had a new base fitted
  4. Did wonder if they were just trying to get money out of me, cheers guys will try direct then once I hear back what they want to do
  5. Anyone had issues with the fence tightening screw? Less than a year old and halfway through the day I go to tighten it to find its just spinning Looked closer at it and seen theres no replacement nut or anything thats removable, its just the base and the base is riveted to the rest of the body .... Thinking oh well its under warranty I'll just have to sort something else out to keep me going I got on with it. I then take it to my local Milwaukee warranty repair shop who tell me this prob wont be covered by warranty because its something I could of done !!! They will find out and let me know as soon as possible ... Anyone else had this happen to them? Wondered if cold conditions had made the thread brittle or something? Have to say I was really pleased with the saw up until now and that does look quite a worrying flaw in the design especially if its not covered under warranty. To say I was annoyed at the suggestion it was my fault would be an understatement too as I'm careful with my tools at work, use them daily, never over tighten anything especially stuff like that which can also damage the fences. Have owned Bosch and Panasonic circular saws for years and never had anything like that happen, they just died old old age. I changed all my tools to Milwaukee because they have a great reputation for build quality and feel comfortable to use but I'm not paying to have that repaired myself.
  6. I fit kitchens so would come in handy to have a brushless as your using it all day, the m18 jigsaws nice and smooth but does need updating, great for the price I got it but could do with being slightly lighter and smaller so its a bit more nimble but to be honest it does everything I need, I'd like a light on it too which you can turn on when needed.

    M18 Jigsaw

Arrived yesterday, first thing I noticed was how heavy it was for a cordless jigsaw but I'd say no heavier than the old Bosch 24v (which I quite liked before lithium became the thing). Motors very smooth so you get a good feel too. Only moan is that the base is loose so dosnt lock, assuming I just need to tighten the nut on the bottom with a deep socket
  8. Ahh right not seen that feature. Guessing the owner of the tools didnt know that either when I asked him about it
  9. Bought an impact gun 18v with a 4.0 batt and weight wise it feels great, not too bulky either, 2nd setting drills spot on for general screw use. For round the house you may want an all rounder though especially moneys an issue otherwise I'd get both lol
  10. Any idea why they havnt done a brushless 18v jigsaw yet? Seems odd given its quite a popular tool???
  11. Had to buy the 18v jigsaw from the states, they only sell the smaller ones like the 12v one over here. I'm not a big fan of LED lights on jigsaws, they're great if they got an off button but when u cut upside down it blinds you lol which put me off the likes of Bosch as I found that the worst
  12. Really pleased with the 5.0 batts, bought 2 and has enough life in 1 battery for 1 kitchen installation using the circ saw. The 4.0 in the impact gun lasts all day and still has 4 bar of power! Hopefully the jigsaw will arrive soon so looking forward to seeing how that performs and with a 5.0 installed
  13. Cheers bud, have replaced and should have a new one tomorrow
  14. Don't get Home Depot over here cheapest I found was 4.0 = £69 and 5.0 = £100 Ok joining in the maths party this is what I done .... I gone and bought the impact gun with 2x 5.0 batteries and charger for £346, my thinking is each on there own they would cost: 2x 5.0 = £200 + the extra charger cost £69 and the Impact body only is £169 = £438 So I reckon I've saved just under £100 And I did need the impact drill so I've not bought it for the sake of it either lol
  15. 1x 4.0 got me a kitchens worth of plinth, infills and most the worktops so if a 5.0 gets the lot done then it will be worth the money buying a few more. I'm replacing my Panasonic gear so looking for the best like for like replacements that Milwaukee do. And with Milwaukee's 12v range it does offer some complications haha. The Panasonic 3.0 3.1 and 3.3a batteries went on forever and wasnt much diff performance wise but was a big diff in prices between the 3
