  1. Good news!! I finally got the chuck off. I ended up taking the drill apart and removing the spindle. I then put in the vise and it turned right off.
  2. I just took a closer look inside the chuck and it doesn't look like there is a screw after all. I tried the method of using an allen wrench and hammer to break the chuck loose but no luck. I tried to remove it in a counter clockwise direction as the manual said but to no avail. I have to wonder if this model is even equipped with a locking screw as there was no mention of one in the manual. Does anyone know for sure? Any ideas? Any suggestions will be welcome.
  3. Thanks for your suggestions. I'm going to get a repair estimate and go from there. Thanks again.
  4. Hello everyone. I have a Dewalt D21008 drill and cannot remove the keyless chuck. I opened the chuck all the way open to get at the screw that holds the chuck on but the screw head has been worn down and cannot be taken out by convential means. Any suggestions before I take it into a repair center? Thanks.
