Work and life have been really busy and with budget cuts we all have to take on more at work but anyways we were given this bench by my in laws they were gonna trash it but I brought it home sanded it down replaced the front piece of wood that was missing and threw some stain on there it's my first time I think I did ok now I wanna practice on something else now, I've also been helping my gramps redo his restroom that I will post pics of later. Hope u all had a great weekend crew!! T.I.A#1!!!!!!!

Wow that turned out really nice. All it needed was some love and attention. Great job man!

  4. I agree with Comp. I think Rhonda was surrounded by people that believed she could do no wrong and the fight was in the bag. This loss will hopefully be a moment of growth and motivation for Rhonda to continue to push the envelope in womans mma. What a great a fight by Holly Holmes, I could really see how much this meant to her and the struggle she went through in her entire career to reach this moment.

The next UFC is gonna be insane, I havent seen such a stacked card in awhile

Thank you Dan and Eric for recommending Keen shoes.

I picked these up a few days ago. They are very light and comfy. They have a mesh that keeps your feet nice and cool.

I still like my Timberland 6" Pitboss boots, but the Keen Atlanta Cools would be very good for those hot days or if you are trying to stay light on your feet while still having steel toe protection.

  6. I know people love superfeet,. but I did not like them at all. I got the orange pair and they were just so uncomfortable, I switched back to the insoles that came with my Thorogoods.

Speaking of insoles though, for winter time I love these.

Thats great to hear. A couple of guys have suggested Thorogood boots to me. Its nice to know that the Thorogood insoles work well.

  7. I can vouch for Superfeet insoles also, I don't use them in shoes/boots but I did use them in my last pair of hockey skates. Make sure you do your research and get the correct color code for you. Very good quality and they are supportive, most people think spongy is going to be more comfortable but a snug, supportive bed for your feet is really what's comfortable. Spongy can lead to blisters and muscle fatigue.

Nalu, that is dead on. Mattresses are not something to skimp on, a good mattress can change your life for the better. A poor mattress can literally debilitate you, back pain is not something that should be thought lightly about, especially as you age. Keep in mind you spend 5-8 hours a night on your mattress, how much time do you spend in your car? You can get by on a beater car/truck instead of driving something nice and easily save $10,000 or more. A top of the line mattress is under $3,000 and you will probably keep it for 8-10 years. I'm a big fan of Sterns & Foster and Sealy(same company) myself...and yes, I sold furniture/mattresses when I was in college and I used that line to sell...but it's true.

You brought up a good point. Super Feet Insoles are not super spongy and soft, they are fairly firm. I thought that the firmness would be uncomfortable but i found the opposite to be true. I feel like these insoles offer better support for my feet

Ive been wearing these insoles for about a week and i gotta say my feet are thanking me.

I was a bit weary about buying them, they are expensive at $40, but its worth the price if you are working on your feet all day.

These insoles dont eliminate foot fatigue but they do significantly reduce the aches and pain by the end of the day.

I give this product 2 thumbs up. If your having a foot issues, ditch the Dr. Scholls and check out Super Feet.

  10. I just got out of a union meeting with some guys from DeWalt. They were all super cool, bought a bunch of beer for us union guys and let us sample some tools. They showed off some new red and green laser levels that run off 20v batts. They mentioned that they are pushing to get the tools in HD by the 15th of this month. Probably to get the black friday rush

I signed up for the IBEW 1186 out of Honolulu, Hawaii. I passed the test, now I'm waiting to get interviewed. It seems like my Local IBEW is really slow however. I believe I sent my application back in June. So i signed up for the Carpenters Union Local 746 and thats where Im at now.

Looking forward to your contributions to the forum! Take care
