  1. Yeah the Metabo looks nice like all their tools. It's a bigger blade size too right 8" right? Lots of nice cordless miters out there now...
  2. Well I think the Makita from what I understand is much less powerful and torquey but these things are pretty much specialty items right now for when you want quiet drivers more than all out performance. That being said these are new product types competing aginst impact drivers that have had a decade plus of development, give them some time. If the market is there for these things they should get better and better.
  3. That's a pretty decent deal for two nailers, battery and charger.
  4. http://www.fox5ny.com/news/76795410-story LOL, I just saw this elsewhere. I wish we had some of those B&B things around here...
  5. Connectors are easy, the controller chips are the difficult part. Lithium batteries are tool makers dreams, they lock the batteries down good and tight because they need to be monitored and controlled during charging and use. Makita even has their own batteries that aren't completely compatible with all tools, the yellow star and platinum plate things I think, with some tools too I think and they make all the the pieces.
  6. Yeah the dual batteries vs one plus one on the charger makes it less of an advantage but if the Makita might be more powerful and torquey from the 36v making for better cutting in harder woods. That and the fact that makita chargers are pretty darn fast...
  7. I think unlike most other oems makita has a pretty good business selling high quality blades and grinding wheels so they can't put crap in the box so customers can get the saw cutting ASAP without hurting their reputation. Only real die hard DeWalt and Milwaukee junkies buy their preferred brand's blades in spite of better offerings out there.
  8. I have the opposite experience with my Ryobi brad. It's almost too powerful and sinks the brads always deep. Ive tried backing off the power but it goes through pine almost too easy. I tried it on some hardwood flooring and it seems to get the nail just right. I don't mind the pine being set too deep because I have to use filler anyway and would rather too deep than proud because you end up making a bigger mess in that case usually.
  9. Yeah I have the M18 lantern and it is nice, also an added bonus on both the Milwaukee lanterns is they have a USB charging port on them which makes them fantastic power-sources for your phone in a pinch. The stick lights and lanterns are kinda different use scenarios though. The lanterns are much better at lighting up a large area or a whole small room when set to 360˚ mode. A stick light is better for saturating a small work area of specific interest. I also have the Milwaukee LED stick light and love it. The Dewalt stick is supposed to be pretty good but Milwaukee's color rendition on their LED lights is second to none. They give a really nice light coloration that doesn't look too artificial, not that blue headache inducing color most LED's give off. Also it makes working under the light easier as it makes things look more true to their natural color. I might sound like Milwaukee's marketing department boasting about their TRUEVIEW™ tech but I'm a long time Reef tank keeper who's bought thousands of $$$ in state of the art lighting for my tanks and a bit of an LED snob so I care about such things.
  10. Yeah kinda misleading, bit it all depends on what you consider "remote control" to really include...
  11. Not a deal per se but finally a bathroom cleaning tool I can get behind, well maybe... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B017J2641A/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_awd_FbDMwbT08B855
  12. Yeah I like all S's, and RS's even more, but I really like the size of the S3 and the Audi magnetic ride even makes the super low profile 19's fine for everyday use
  13. Come on comp56... we're all friends here; you can admit that's your hand and you like to roll with a nice French manicure Beautiful work, as always, but where is the red paint on this one?
  14. I find an m80 dropped in there takes care of the water, the clog...and the toilet
  15. Yeah they expanded their lineup a little more with some new pliers and wrenches. I have their electrical pliers and like them quite a bit.
  16. Just to add this... Not sure why it makes me smile whenever I turn the car on but it does for some reason:

    Epic Fail.....

Yeah but that's Canadaland...it's always cold up there I was looking at the map and it's crazy how this one bridge is the only way for traversing the water for such a long ways...
  18. I like those wheels, car looks good all black...
  19. Wow, that chin spoiler looks like you'd have trouble slipping a sheet of paper between it and your driveway. You must go sloooow going in and out
  20. Damn it I didn't need to see that. I already want a titanium Stiletto hammer but they are so expensive lol
  21. No offense taken. There are plenty of dumbasses here but these fraud guys are smart and the work they go through to steal stuff makes you wonder what they could do if they aimed that effort at legit things lol. Good luck and sorry to hear of your troubles.
  22. ouch. sorry. For the record it wasn't this NY dumbass. I've had my ATM card skimmed which sucked too a while back.
  23. Yeah but they were thoughtful enough to have the spigot open right onto the outlet so you can keep your plug clean!
  24. I don't know about DHL but for me good ole' USPS is the worst by far. Half the time my postal guy marks packages as delivered and then drops them off a week later at his convenience. I usually end up calling up and trying to explain that just because he marks my packages as delivered to knock off early it doesn't mean he actually delivered them.
