  1. I just bough a used Metabo KHA24 battery SDS drill for £80, which has turned out to be faulty. Before I bought it I did the usual pull the triger, and it run up fine, tried the second battery, that was fine to. Then I needed to drill two small holes through a tile, as soon as the drill bit touched the tile - the drill stopped - a red warning light appeared on top of the drill, I have tried everything I know but can't get it to work under load. The armature and brushes are fine. I took it to a tool repair shop, they wanted £280 to repair it, said the parts were £241.63 for three electronic parts in the drill - I can't afford such repair prices, I took it back to where I bought it, they say hard luck - no gaurentee. Question is it possible to strip out the electronics and use it without them?
