Seems as the 2530 is advertised for wood. So I'm a little confused with home depot, shows it as a bare tool with a carbide metal blade. So does that mean it can be used to cut metal? I've been want to get a metal saw for cutting aluminum cable tray and trough that's about 1/8 thick. And just unsure if the 2530 would be capable of that task. If it's not then I plan on picking up the 2782, just figured I'd ask if anyone knew or had any experience

the fuel bandsaw is a beast. i cut thick strut or super strut which ever you prefer to call it, and it goes through it like butter. Also does wonders going through angle iron, trimmed a few light pole with it. milwaukee says it cuts faster than the corded bandsaws, and they dont lie about that. it cuts a couple seconds faster, but still faster. My only complaint is the dammed thing weighs a ton but that wieght alot helps it cut a bit quicker. the m12 lantern is handy for lighting small areas like attics or small rooms, also awesome having the usb port for charging your phone. the m18 flood is crazy bright, and it has numerous options for hanging which is great. With a 4.0 battery it will last about 4 hours or so and high, also stays pretty cool. i had picked it up just this last week becuase HD had a sale on em for 89$.

Seeing people post pictures of their red tools has made me feel not so bad for have the addiction. so i rounded up most of my Milwaukee tools, didn't drag my hand tools out and forgot to grab my fuel hammer drill( I think the number is 2406).

Sorry it's probably help if I atleast said why I didn't care the the m12 hackzall. It seems alil weak an drains batteries pretty quick for repeative cutting pipe. It's nice because small and light, you can get into tighter spaces than regular sawzalls. Also it's great for small quick cuts, just not for using all day every day like I had hope to use it for.

I have the m12 hackzall, an I'm really not a big fan of it. I've used maybe a hand full of times. Maybe the fuel 12v would do better. A couple of the guys I work with have the m18 hackzall and it works just as well as normal m18 sawzall. I know you said your wanting it for cutting boxes in, but as far as cutting pipe I'd definitely recommend the m12 bandsaw. One xc battery will last about 2 days, and that running an average of 200 feet of 3/4 or 1" emt a day.

Well you wouldn't be the only battery abuser. I've got 11 m18 batteries and 13 m12 batteries, all in my gang box at work. Normally all of them are charged and if it's not charged then its deader than a door nail till it makes it to a charger.

Yeah I had order the 2712 as just a bare tool probably 6 months ago. Man I love it, it's light weight and packs a punch. Using it over head a lot here recently I went ahead and got the dust extracter for it, which is a great addition to to the tool. But being a tool I don't using daily I just wish I had the case for both of them.

Yeah I've been looking around for a couple months now, just never knew the number for it till just a little bit ago. May be something that'll require calling Milwaukee.

Any idea where on might find a case for the 2712-22DE? I believe the number for the case is 42-55-0095. Just can't seem to find one
