  1. Top down isn't problem, it's straight on. It's 20-25% at best from directly in front and gets even worse from top down. Throw on the backlight and you can't read it from straight on. I always hang my meter close to eye level. Pretty terrible design if you ask me. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Ahhh, I have a city lawn. I don't miss the 1.5 acres I used to mow! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. It's brushless. Why do you need lights on a lawnmower? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. I have purged my DMM collection. Everything is gone except a Fluke 117, Fluke 17b+, Fluke 107, Fluke 323 and a Greenlee CM 410! I got rid of the Klein I reviewed as the display was just too hard to read. I even emailed Klein and all they had to say was "not much we can do, that's how they are". I have had Milwaukee, Triplitt, Klein, Fluke, Greenlee and I always go back to the Fluke. Maybe it's a personal bias. Maybe they make good meters. I think I am gonna get an Amprobe next... 5. AEG is the TTi subsidiary that makes Ridgid. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  6. Nice! Looks like rebranded AEG! Can't go wrong with that price! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  7. Great Video, I love the TE30-A36, but the price is nuts. Deep down, I am a cheap bastard. As much as I love the tool, I would have a very hard time buying one for me personally. Even with the warranty. There aren't enough tools on the 36V platform for me. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Brittle is Milwaukees middle name! I have blown up an entire set of carbide drill bits (well, all but 2-3 bits) and quite a few Robertson bits. The crazy thing about the bits is that I tried several lengths too. The stubby bits are no better than the 6" bits. I don't mind the Makita bits, no issues yet. I do however, find myself going back to Wera often. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Ruffled? No sir. The TE50 is $799 for the whole kit in Canada, from HILTI, not some inflated, third party amazon price. How is it $720 in the states? It should be $599 at the most. Are you getting pricing from Hilti or a 3rd party marking it up? Hilti doesn't sell to companies unless its Home Depot etc, and even then, the prices are high. 10. The Bosch 11264 sells for $1049 cdn, the Bosch 11321 sells for $949 cdn. The Hilti TE-50 is $799 cdn. Hilti isn't more expensive than Bosch. The Hilti warranty destroys all other warranties though. Also, the Hilti is a kit that includes: TE 50-AVR performance package Item number 3553052 1x Combihammer TE 50-AVR 120V 1x TE detachable power cord 1x Case 1x Pointed chisel TE-YP SM 36 1x Hammer drill bit TE-YX 3/4" x 13" 1x TE detachable power cord Price / Unit $799.00 / 1 Each Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. For the record, I have the Makita 2475. I love the size and weight, perfect little corded. Not my first choice for hardcore demo though! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. Can't go wrong with the light duty makita. https://www.amazon.ca/Makita-HR2475-1-Inch-D-Handle-Rotary/dp/B002SSUR28 Just kidding! Buy the Hilti TE-50 AVR, lightweight and heavy duty. Detachable cord! https://www.hilti.ca/drilling-and-demolition/combihammers/r4902202 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Yeah, me too! With laser levels, digital levels, laser distance meters, digital multimeters, Sub scanners, thermal imaging and so many more, I think it would be a nice reference section. Guys like to show off their measuring tapes too. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Can we get a dedicated category/topic for test and measurement devices in the tool section? It would be nice to have a place for multimeters, digital levels, laser tapes etc. Just my $.02 ! Thanks Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Got my new baby Fluke 107 today! Holy crap is this thing small. Tons of features packed into this little thing! For scale: Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. I have been using mine daily. I use is exclusively for service. I would recommend these to anyone who needs a lightweight option. Having one battery type makes it perfect. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. 3 hours, sure. 3 "additional" hours, unless you have no expenses in life. Why would I want to waste an additional 3 hours of my life. It only takes a minute to clean up a tool before you put it away. One minute of my life is far more important than having to waste 3 hours to pay for a preventable expense! 18. I like the warm fuzzy feeling genuine parts gives me. That said, if the cell are as good or better, what's the harm? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. I am super anal retentive, I wipe down my tools after I use them. I blow them out too. My Rotary Hammers look like new. I can never understand how some guys let their tools get so full of crud. (And wonder why they don't last). I buy grease and regularly maintain my stuff. I have personally made exactly 2 warranty claims in 10 years, both were battery related. 20. Go to an auto wrecker and grab a rear window strut for $10-$20 ! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  21. Consumables are were the money is. If you really think 5x Lithium Ion 18650 cells and a small circuit board are worth $100, brother, I have got some land you may be interested in! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    New Recip

They had one a few years back. I have the Makita compact 18v recip. I love it, the dual trigger is awesome. I liked my old M12 fuel recip, but it was way too front heavy. The newer designs may look funny, but they sure are comfortable and well balanced. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  23. Is this why Tapatalk doesn't work again?
  24. Running pipe all day, it's nice have Small and compact. Especially overhead. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
