I never thought of that. Why don't they put a quick release on these things? Would be the best of both worlds.

I have this blower. Its pretty nice. Nothing earth shattering though. The trimmer from the 40v line I think is much better.

I picked up the new dewalt compact combo the other day so I though I would put together a little review comparing it to the 1st gen combo kit. Put it together kind of on a whim so its nothing special. Enjoy.

Honestly owning the Gen 1 tools and now the Gen 2. I don't think there is a big enough difference between the 2 to justify the price increase + 1 less battery. I'd go Gen 1 if I were you.

I have a little Dewalt, Ridgid and Milwaukee. I figure 95% of tools I might need are covered by one of these battery platforms.

If you read the tag it says with qualifying kit and lists the part number of the brushless 2 piece kit for $299 below (1001-277-527). Looks like they just placed the sticker in a misleading location.

I have the 40v blower and trimmer. I am very satisfied with the trimmer and somewhat satisfied with the blower. I'd be interested in checking out the chainsaw when its released.
