  1. Thanks a lot fellas, I've taken all of your advice and assembled my "starter kit" based on your suggestions. I have a new question, BOOTS? I'm a large man, 6' 5" @ 315# based on everyone's experience, what boots are gonna be the most comfortable for a man my size? I've heard a saying that I tend to agree with it goes something like; when it comes to work boots and your mattress you should spare no expense because if your not in one your in the other. 3. Thanks for the input Jeff. I have a tendency to wanting things to match and have symmetry. I appreciate the encouragement to mix-and-match tools because I know that developing a brand loyalty will limit myself and I don't want to get into that rut. I spent the last 12 years in the Army as a helicopter mechanic and I think I am starting to get some arthritis so I'd like to find screwdrivers with good ergonomics, based on my research this morning people seem to think that Wiha and Wera are good quality and provide good comfort. Any thoughts on screwdrivers? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  4. While doing lots of research this morning Wera and Wiha have come up a lot, what are you guys thoughts on those? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  5. Thank you to everyone who has given input so far and I appreciate the support. Here is the tool list I was given. Budget is not an issue, I feel like it's better to purchase high quality tools upfront then to have to replace broken tools or poor quality tools. It seems the consensus so far is for Klein or Knipex. Also, should I get insulated tools or does it really matter? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  6. I was offered an apprenticeship today with IBEW. I was given a list of basic hand tools and testers that I need to get. I'd like to get the best quality tools possible and would really appreciate any input I can get from experienced electricians. Thanks. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
