  1. Some people pay for those mill stones. To put in there yard. It wouldn't be a hard sell. If you can get it out without damaging it. But a lot of the big collectors would buy it broken too though.

  2. Maybe he was making it up? But I had heard from the company I use here locally before. They told me that same story. And that's why they are not selling Makita tools anymore. So Idk? He said you should be fine buying dewalt stuff though. Because dewalt ships there tools from the company here in NC. To Lowe's.

  3. Yea they buy a lot of the motors and stuff from the company. Then put them together with there own stuff. This guy was a ceo or something like that. And that's what he told me. I'm not just making it up. And that is why Makita wouldn't let them sell there tools any more.

  4. Good luck, he got them for a song. I think it was something like 75% off of any retailer I know of...what brand/model of bits are you breaking? I've found that the Germans and Czechs seem to make the stronger bits. I get my German/Czech tools from KC Tools or German-hand-tools, after checking Amazon and eBay of course. Bits are almost always significantly cheaper at KC or GHT. We've also noticed the Dewalt MaxFit(Home depot) bits are better than the FlexTorq(Lowe's, Sears), also Milwaukee is not very good. Makita is made in Japan(Every other big name manufacturer bits at HD and Lowe's is made in China) and appears to be really strong but I haven't really pushed any Makita bits too hard.

    I'm breaking irwin bits.

  5. Hey guys, those of you who follow the HD permatheead for deals saw I found some WIha bits on clearance. These are their terminator impact bits which are pretty cool. I've used them a bit and they feel nice, they have torsion you can feel and a little case that I played with for hours.

So in the spirit of thanksgiving for being a part of this crew, I am going to give away a set of these, it's a small set, just 7 bits with a magnetic holder and a really awesome case. Great time of the year to charge my score with you guys, hopefully this will go better than my last give away.

I will randomly select a winner on thanksgiving so good luck and happy turkey day!

Where did you buy the terminator bits? They look like a good bit. I'm always breaking phillips bits with my dewalt impact.

  6. I have been contemplating on buying ryobi for a while now. But I just can't make myself spend the money on it. I done some work for a guy, that was some ceo at lowes. And he said he wouldn't buy power tools from lowes. But he said home depot had better stuff. Like ridged and ryobi. And that Lowe's used cheaper parts on power tools over seas. Like putting plastic parts on inside stuff, that should be metal. And then they ship them here. Have you all heard that before?
