I would say your guess is as good as mine... but your guess is better. I already know it.

Well my guess would be it's because they couldn't find a mannequin with vise grips instead of hands to give the marketing some sex appeal.

Hey, there is a difference between a shrink suggesting you be medicated, a court mandating that you be medicated and institutionalized because you are "a danger to himself and those around him, prone to..." and being able to break out of that half assed institution that didn't even have drinking fountain proof glass. I'll let you figure out which category I fit under.

Season four had a few solid 'sodes too.

Seal skin gloves man. Warm dry or wet. You can wear gloves over them as well.

Ooh sounds 'spensive. My only fear is that if I had seal skin gloves I would get into the habit of challenging people to duels, on second thought I'm buying some. Season eleven was such a damn good season. 10 and 11 are tied for best ever season.

I've bought Redwing boots for the last 5 years I guess.... while I've never had an issue straight out of the box, there have been some VERY disappointing letdowns.

The first pair was their Irish Setter shoe I got about 5 years ago and I still throw them on sometimes around the house, love them.

I bought a pair of Redwings couple years ago and get home to put them on, one of the lace hooks popped right off and hit the opposite end of the room!  Got a new pair and a month later the hooks popped off again! Got a new pair and finally they must have fixed that issue because they lasted about 2 years

My most recent redwings, the sole started separating and I had to get a replacement set under warranty....

I've heard good things about Thorogood, so i'll check into them next...

wait weren't we talking about dewalt?

Ugh my non USA redwings just gave out about a month ago. They barely lasted maybe 8 or 9 months. The stitching gave out on one. Load of dog shit for $230. I've only really got maybe 4 months of actual use out of them. I might attempt to restitch them. I would be pissed if I wasn't wearing insulated rubbers (boots, not the Eskimo birth control) since December. I've probably put as much foot time on these boots that are more comfortable without any water leaks and they were only $50 and made in Canada. Warm to 20 below, and I can attest to them being that warm.

Yes, they are used together, but do not come in contact with other. In fact, if they did, it would be impossible to properly use the tool.

Oh I see it now. A sheet goes in between it the two pieces which are held together by magnets. Is it used to mark the outline of a piece on the bottom of a material onto the top?

Nice spread Sterco. Now you'll need to track down a set of Proto Big Dawgs!

So I just looked through some old garage journal posts and it does look like I need some Big Dawgs. I also found this image which guaruntees that the do not use lube isn't true, at least not as a blanket rule.

Check online first, some stores have it regular price some like mine were $5-9. Also it's limited stock and Lowe's has a real time stock tracer on their site. I could only pull it up by searching "Torin"

Hopefully picking up another two 1/2" rails tomorrow.

    No luck here.

I used to carry a Benchmade auto knife daily at work but I sold it to a buddy of mine a few years back because he kept pestering me about it and I needed the cash. I'm getting permissions from Gerber for their new auto knife but it has to go through an approval process because they are controlled tools/weapons. I'm not a hundred percent sold though as I still have two Gerber assisted opening knives and both have failed springs. I figure I'll get the new one am done try it out because of a discounted price. Worst case, meh. Best case? I've got a tool I can use at work that'll serve me well like my Leatherman MUT.

How'd you like that Benchmade auto knife? A guy I knew let me use his. Felt real solid. I guess they replace springs no questions asked. You can get them across the border in Idaho without people asking so many questions.

I'm in it completely now, still have a crate or two to sort through.. the old van is sold to a guy that wants to use it for a RV and travel the country!

I'm still modifying things as I go, but no break in work means I only do a little at a time.

I need to label everything with a label maker.

I need to add a pull out shelf for a workbench

still have to button up the ceiling panels and wires for the lights are hanging a little

Loaded up for a radiant tube heater install. Probably my favorite type of heat to install. Love boiler work, too

These yellow bins were from the old van, now moving everything to the blue bins

and those yellow bins were only half of what was in the van...

I just quickly put 1" and 1/2" marks on the top of the shelf above my brass nipples for quick reference

For my black iron nipples, i use a caddy, but brass aren't used as much so i decided against using a caddy for them...

I want to put a permanent tape/ruler here in its place sometime...

Oh and I found this interesting: there's no gas cap, you just push the gas nozzle in from the pump and pump away..

Can barely see the sawzall scars anymore.

  10. I couldn't wear mine. Too uncomfortable. I've done enough dusty stuff with hay and straw to really do a number on my breathing in just the three or so odd years of been doing it that I wanted to try something out when loading the feed mixer. Between the rediculous sweat buildup in the 100°+ weather and the intense pain in my face region I opted for the die at 30 from chronic bronchitis and emphysema and spit up mud than wear one. That's just probably just because of my rinky dink head shape though. That's one of the tools I wasn't too broken up about someone needing it more than me.
