Dude nooooice.

Yeah my estwing 4lb engineers hammer comes into play the most. I bought all the deadblows so I could beat on stuff just as much and cause slightly less damage than that estwing. Not necessarily my favorite, but most used...

A guy I used to work with called my 3# version of this my Keebler (like the elf cookie bakers) hammer

30 oz. milled face... I drove about 10,000 60d nails one summer with one (staking curb, mostly, but some sewer and some water lines)

Today's haul: three estwings, two protos, proto mirror, new spade bit, lufkin tape that I paid retail for like a chump when I could have got it for 50% from apex tool group with a coupon code a buddy gave me but I felt bad stealing money from the company, two Stanley's that are being clearanced but are so great I need to stockpile, and a new sting because I snapped my other one.

I was tempted but it had a dinky direction switch. I don't do dinky switches.Lima OH $99 for this kit.
There are several different models on display here and I just cant get comfortable holding them in my hands, the 18v that is. I must have wide hands because when i hold it, the area between my first finger and thumb gets jammed right up under the rear of the motor, i would get blisters right off the bat.

Yeah didn't think I was in the market and then this happened today... Two protos and three estwings,. Soft faced estwing deadheads and a shot filled proto dead blow, and a brass head proto dead blow. 140$ for all.

Water heater installation?

I go for the one hat per summer. There's nothing quite like the smell of old dairy hat. In order of oldest to newest,
Still working on the last one, first one is held together almost entirely from gluing conduit overhead and strategically catching drips from the brush.
All were jet black like what they are set on to start with.

First time I saw it. I need to use Google shopping more. I just went to check the weather on the search bar thing at the top of my phone. I think Google now has to be installed for this but its pretty neat.

Sweet, let us know how the DeWalt is.
-
Sweet giveaway. In the off chance that I win I'll be giving away all the tools that I already have in DeWalt to members of the crew. Good luck everyone.

Is it bad that I actually really have the urge to buy a lufkin now? I mean I knew I was susceptible to marketing ploys but didn't know I am this susceptible. It's not even what was said, I just need to know.

I have every single tool I've ever owned with the exception of a handful of tape measures and a couple that were stolen. It helps that I'm on my first set of tools ever.
-
Gotta make them work for it. Anybody know What vertical blade length is?
-
Hmmmmm I still have some of my tax return left..... But then again my toolbox would be more red than yellow......that is a great deal for that, especially coming with a XC battery
-
But in all seriousness are your lufkins actually that good? If you can sell me on them I'll go buy a couple as I've never worked with one before. Never even seen one actually.I switched all Fatmax over to Lufkin Powercontrol Series. Does nobody like Lufkin anymore? Magnetic, self-centering tips, and the non pinch grip really makes the different.

Lufkin. Who makes those? Apex tool group maybe? [emoji53]I switched all Fatmax over to Lufkin Powercontrol Series. Does nobody like Lufkin anymore? Magnetic, self-centering tips, and the non pinch grip really makes the different.

Can't go wrong with a Stanley, they're a staple in every tool belt. I can't speak for DeWalt, but they do have a pretty good reputation.Funny you started this thread. Was just looking into picking up a new tape measure and was debating between the fatmax and the DeWalt. Any suggestions?

It really doesn't matter though if you have something solid to butt up against.I can imagine that would affect accuracy, good point. Note to self, dont use when old lol.

The Bosch glms are nice, less so if you have shakey hands.

He is living the dream. Always wish I could work under a guy like that and learn the secrets of the trade.yes he does everything custom, your not going to see an after market body panel, he makes it all from scratch. and yes he is still doing the old school lead seams where needed to be factory correct 100 point vehicle....

Good to see so many other estwing fans. Surprised there aren't any stilleto guys. Those are nice hammers but a little too pricey for my taste.

I kinda want to try out a set up like that, mine doesn't work too well as far as keeping on you. I almost need a Milwaukee pouch and store all my tools in my big DeWalt.
