  1. they frequently go on sale for under $70 for bare tool.....for that price if you only use it twice a year I'm sure it will pay for itself at least that's what I tell myself..

Yeah I "need" one for prepping plug welds so really it's already paid itself off and I don't even have one yet.a251cb7e57fbf777d1e049de5f649a9a.jpg
  2. as it were the Milwaukee and dremel attachments can be interchanged.......along with other brands of rotory tools

Hey, why you gotta be like that man?[emoji6] I was hoping someone would talk me out of buying one and now I can't not buy one. I even feel like I need two for some reason.

  3. The only attachments I've used are the planer attachment and the extension wand, which has come pretty valuable.  Just food for thought dude, and not all attachments may work on the cordless any who.  Recently my dremel just sits on the top shelf and collects.

Yeah, thank you. I appreciate the input.

As far as specs go it looks like the Milwaukee has a few ounces lighter than the Dremel and substantially faster charging speed along with another 2,000 rpm. Really as far as specs go Milwaukee has a slight advantage but Dremel has the name going for it. Really though if I had to choose between the two I'd go with the Milwaukee. I'm just don't want to buy it and find a fatal flaw.

  4. If you already have the m12 system I would stick with that, not sure how the stats compare though, you can use any of the shanks of the tools but the only thin about dremel is all the additions to the tools where you can't with milwaukee.

In my experience with my corded dremel all the dremel attachments never really get used. The only time they would is when I'm next to an outlet and can use my corded one.
  5. I'm really careful with my stuff and keep it clean. I also try to use the proper tool for the job so I don't cut boxes with it, so I'm not constantly dulling the blade. I'm also one of those guys that use pocket clips backwards, so the knife goes into my pocket and the clip is outside, so it doesn't get knocked off if I bump into something. I also don't work in construction, I think if I did I would have replaced the knife several times by now.

I do really like Colt knives, very high quality all-steel construction and can take a beating. S&W also makes nice knives.

Have you had good luck with S&W? All two or three of mine only lasted for a month max before the latch was shot and the screws had all walked out.
  6. I'm looking at the new(ish) rotary tool and was wondering if its worth the $100. I know you can get a real cordless dremel for $10 cheaper but I like my Milwaukee batteries. Does anyone have experience with one of these? I'd like any input you have. If no one has one I'll buy one for the advancement of "science".

  7. Ok, so there was this one day I was on a cow farm, I looked at a Holstein cow and all I could think about was how good it would look on a plate ready for me to eat it. But the farmer said, oh you don't want her she don't got any real meat on her bones, you'd have to fatten her up first. Well, considering how many months it would take to fatten her up, I didn't want to wait, so I fed her tons of ice cream, milk, sugar, etc. I started naming her bigfat jerky, prepare for your slaughter. But all the sudden her feet left the ground, and she was gaining altitude. All the sudden I had a flying cow on my hands. So the farmer see's this and he comes running and asks me what I did? I shook my head and said, oh lord, there has got to be a better way to make a milkshake.

In all seriousness though branding cows makes you hungry as an MF'er.
  8. I keep my knife in a leather sheath on my belt and never have to worry about losing it. I had a fastback for about a day but I didn't like anything about it and didn't bother looking for it when it went missing.
