  1. I have a few flexvolt batteries with 2017-18 date codes and they still work fine,  The flexvolt miter is awesome,  but the shadow line can be a pain to see if you are working in the sun and you need to use flexvolt blades.  i have the flexvolt table saw also it is nice but it can suck a battery down fairly quick

  2. I have the flexvolt extractor, works well with drywall dust and does good when you throw it on the table saw and miter saw even the planer works great with the extractor, i don't think the bags filter but they keep the inside and filters  really clean you could empty them if you wanted but it would be a mess and you would probably only get a couple uses out of them before the cardboard lock gave out

  3. I don't understand the joke but broken tools aren't too bad. It just means you get to buy more tools, and more tools is never bad.

Err........ I'm gonna have to come clean and take this one squarely on the chin! I was using it with a dry diamond core cutter, approx 50mm diameter. She snagged and the top section just kinda rolled off. Took a fair while for that to happen, I've cored with it quite a few times. Lesson learnt though.

New clamshell ordered, she'll be right as rain soon enough.
Nice set there.  Every time I look at dremel bits I want to buy some, but remember I already have pretty much every bit they make.  Those little diamond points can take care of some tough problems.

Came close to buying one of the $100 M18 impact driver kits or a 2763 bare tool, but I just can't bring myself to buy anything for mysel this time of year. I ended up with a couple of LED replacement bulbs for the wall lights in the stairs. Yay.

  4. Looks extremely top heavy. How does it feel during use. I haven't used any cordless routers yet.
    Thanks.

I only used it for a minute but it is light I had no problems with it had plenty of power for the little things I will be using it for

  5. what happened to your switch?
i've noticed with mine that if you turn the saw on, you have to let the switch down gently, because if you let the switch drop, it will shutoff.  has done this since new.  assumed it was normal.
Mine does the same thing, so freaking annoying

  7. I've been contemplating buying this. Since I am getting a 1931 Ford model AA I'll need to grease the fittings a lot. I don't have any DeWalt tools though.

So far I like it but it is a pain in the ass to load and it weighs a fucking ton

  8. you really think the starlock max is better? i always saw it as you need 2 hands to release the blade then it falls then you need to orientate it the way you want then reattach it,  seems like a pain compared to dewalts where you just grab the handle squeeze and turn the blade in the direction you want

  9. I feel your pain, I have so many tools now it's not funny. Just ordered the new flexvolt dust extractor and pre-ordered the router. Tax refund was really good for me this year ended up with a couple thousand more than normal. So I got my self a new gaming laptop and a couple tools threw some cash in the lazy wife's account put a couple thousand in savings and now I am thinking I really want the DeWalt 20v finish nailer lol

  10.
I almost pulled the trigger on this deal at HD, but decided to behave at the last second - that'll teach me.

Question for you - How does this compressor work with a blower for compressed air?  How long can you use a blower before it has to kick on again?  I've heard the small 1 gallon tanks just can't blow much more than a benchtop before having to cycle on again.
I have had this for awhile now, you don't get much time to blow before it cycles on but it works great for blowing up kids toys and things but you are not going to blow off big areas without it cycling on
