  1. You must provide the proof of purchase for the lifetime service. I can understand the reasoning behind having to provide the proof of purchase, there are many stolen items out there so why would a company want to offer warranty to someone that did not pay for the tool.
  2. The warning that you referenced is required in accordance with California’s Proposition 65. A Proposition 65 warning does not necessarily mean a product is in violation of any product-safety standards or requirements. This product has been thoroughly tested, is safe for consumer use, and meets all required industry standards. Many consumer products that are sold in California are required to make this warning available to consumers.
