  1. I tried the sawzall and it did not work well, that’s a great idea. I will try to use my Fuel M18 circular saw tomorrow. Sent from my iPhone 7 Plus | Tapatalk
  2. These are the ones I got from HD. 11 ft. Pressure-Treated Pine Split Rail https://homedepot.app.link/ISfKOxiakI Sent from my iPhone 7 Plus | Tapatalk
  3. Each one has 3 sides. They are standard 11’ fence rails Sent from my iPhone 7 Plus | Tapatalk
  4. I am replacing some of my rotted fence rails. They are 11 foot rails and the few that I did went in pretty easy (I had to do a little cutting at the ends and some shaping on a few). My issue is that some sections of my fans are not 11 feet, they are smaller. I am looking for advice on how to cut down the 11 foot rails to fit the smaller sections and look decent. I started to make one with my sawzall but it did not look great and used almost an entire M18 5.0 battery. I was thinking maybe using a tablesaw but I’m really not sure. 5. For all of you that use Tapatalk, what version are you using? There is the regular app, the Pro app, & VIP... my real confusion is what is the difference between buying the pro version vs using the regular app & paying for VIP?? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Good point... I forgot about that. How does Milwaukee gauge battery run time? Do they give the run time per tool or just average it out? I guess a good tool to use for this purpose is the M18 Fuel impact driver, since almost all of us use it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. I have seen a lot of posts on here about run time and what kind of battery people use. I thought it would be a good idea to start a thread & break down the runtime for every single Milwaukee M18 battery they make... • 1.5 - • 2.0 - • 4.0 - • 5.0 - • 6.0 - • 9.0 - Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. I am very knowledgeable when it comes to anything technology but I'm automation systems and smart switches or something I've just never learned about. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. While searching for parts to build a shelf, I just came across this tube of liquid nails. It's funny how things have changed... I found quite a few other neat things and will be posting later. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. I thought it would be cool to start a thread for everyone to post pictures of their old tools & related accessories. Can be old tools from family member's, old items you find around your shop, old cool stuff that you come across while cleaning, etc. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Very interesting I like that idea Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. I am not sure if this is a good deal or not but just an FYI if anyone is looking. It's 200 instead of 300 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. I just saw this leaving Home Depot and it looks like a great deal... I could be wrong though. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. I am looking for suggestions on what to do with extra receptacle space. In the guest bedroom's the house was wired w/ 2 gang boxes in each room next to the door. It was wired for the light on/off switch on the right. The switch on the left controls a power outlet receptacle. So when you turn the left one on or off anything plugged into that one out it will go on and off. I don't really understand the point of it! I rewired it so that that outlet is constantly on like normal. I need advice and suggestions on what to do with the empty left space. If worse comes to worse and I can't figure out anything, I will just buy a two gang cover plate that only has one cut out on the right... I saw this on sale the other day so I grabbed it and thought it would be a good idea. It comes on automatically at night and shuts off automatically when it's light out. It also has for brightness settings you just tap it to change. But I'm not very happy with it and the lowest setting is too bright at night so I am removing it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. I think I might frame and hang in my workshop! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. I was just at Home Depot and scored two bottles of Zep drain opener for a dollar each! Are used drain cleaner years ago but haven't in a long time. I hear a lot of people when I'm in the plumbing Aisle talk about how this kind of stuff is bad for your plumbing and can eat away at plastic and rubber and that kind of thing. Does anybody know if this kind of stuff really is bad for your pipes and you should avoid it and only use it as a last resort? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. Has anyone else been noticing this, has the industry changed the way or the chemical that they cover drywall screws with? I just bought another box of drywall screws today and noticed that they are different color from all my other drywall screws. A few months back I noticed it again. By the way they are all the same brand. Maybe they buy them in batches from different companies or different countries. And yes I know it doesn't matter if the colors different but I'm just curious. This is the brand-new box I bought today: The new ones are on the left & the ones on the right are a combination from two other boxes: Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. Arbor & Hole saw's: Black Friday I purchased the large Milwaukee hole saw kit for half price like many others of you. But I wasn't impressed with the Milwaukee arbor. I know there are other companies out there that make them and I just went through my bag and noticed I have three or four Milwaukee one's already. What I just noticed was that there are multiple Chuck sizes.... this may sound like a stupid question but what Chuck size do you choose or does it matter?? Is there a advantage or disadvantage between the half inch or bigger or smaller ones. Also if you guys choose half-inch do you buy all your arbors in 1/2" ?? Here are a few pictures of the ones I found in my bag and they're different sizes. I run a Milwaukee M18 Fuel drill, so it can basically except any size. I didn't know if I should go with half-inch because it's larger or I should go with smaller Chuck. I'd appreciate some advice on what you guys do before I buy a few more and then have different sizes. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. Thanks a Ton for all the xmas wishes!! Hope everyone has a great holiday weekend and please be safe and spend time with those who you care for. I am going out tomorrow to deliver food and cloths to family's in need. It's the time of year when everyone deserves a reason to smile. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. Thank you @Surfer (aka Nalu) for the link. wow, ~ $10 for the screws + shipping!! of course.
  21. OK, so i think i answered my question about the security tags. But would still like to see pics & hear from someone who did Not buy at HD. I took this screen grab from a random video i just saw. So it looks like the imapct driver comes with it or this was also from HD.
  22. Yeah it's kind of scary since this is the first time this has Ever come apart from the factory and I pretty much baby the thing, but the wires are pretty darn pinched and a lot of the screws were really over torqued! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. I actually got this impact driver about 8 months ago in the $400 fuel driver and hammer drill kit. Soon as I saw the tag immediately thought about all the rumors you hear that "Milwaukee make cheaper tools for Home Depot and better/normal ones different places". I'd really like to know from someone who bought their impact driver NOT at Home Depot if they have the same internals and tag. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. I used this while doing a lot of drywall work recently and it was white inside haha. I also like to tinker, so I pulled it apart. I found a few interesting things & learned a few things too. I have the correct security bit to take the driver apart but a few of the screws are a little stripped now -- does anybody know where I can buy a full replacement set of screws for this? a I did not like how kinded these wires were... I also noticed that there is a security tag inside the driver... are they all like this? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  25. Just left Home Depot I spent about 25 minutes running the one key impact driver and the surge into 4 x 4's and its insanely dramatically quieter!!! you almost cannot even hear the surge hammer/impact! I watched a ton of videos on the forum and YouTube and videos do not do it justice. It almost sounds the same and videos but in person crazy. I must've had 15 people walk by and say wow that thing is quiet and what is that thing. I was extremely impressed on how gentle mode one was but also how much torque mode three has. For bare tool it's $150 I think this may be something I'm going to pick up very soon. After using the surge my impact driver is almost annoyingly loud now Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
