  1. OK it looks like Home Depot and Lowe's both have the R3 for $40. The clamps another $25. do I have to use their clamps for an specific reason or is it cool to use any other one I have at home now. Also do you guys use the Kreg screws, which are a little expensive ...or do you just buy normal ones
  2. thank you man! I got my first Milwaukee tool about 6-7 months ago and now im there, haha.
  3. Anyone have one they don't want for cheat
  4. Brought back a lot of stuff after working in garage and noticed there was a big pile of Red...!
  5. What do you guys think of these I always see them at the store but never know... Does anybody use them or any of these Kreg things? They seem super useful and pretty cool!
  6. Able to cancel order before it ships? Or just send back?
  7. @KnarlyCarl what do u recommend? Just regular blue 1 gang box for the inside or something protected on both sides?
  8. I thought I would start off with a tricky one. since I'm in the process of insulating and drywalling my garage this is the perfect time to do something like this. I always have an extension cord plugged in at the top of my garage and run it all the way through to get outside for w/e I am using. Mostly table Saul out on the driveway or shop vac etc. below is a picture of a tiny space I have between my two garage doors the perfect spot for an outlet ...but it's also not perfect and the fact that it could get wet if the garage is open. What do I do... install a GFIC right there and put inside a waterproof case? Run the receptacle above the garage doors or would not get wet? Install an additional outlet towards the ground (above 18 inches) 6 to 8 feet in the garage along the closest wall to the exit?? For better suggestions...
  9. I wanted to start a general electrical questions thread for anything electrical around the house. A place where you can ask anything in regards to electrical about your home. If it has anything to do with specific code for your area, please include that info but this is probably not the best place .... But can't hurt to ask.
  10. Before i get started... i should not be putting the insulation in backwards or anything like i have seen in a lit of threads, right?? should the paper side of the insualtion be going up against the gypsum board or not. besides the plastic, is there something better to cover everything with before putting up the drywall?
  11. ok guys, so i have decided to say fuck it... I got a bunch of caulk. I will seal all the seams on the brown solid gypsum board and maybe up and down the left and right sides of the studs in some places. also around windows and other areas. i will then just be putting the insulation in normally and stapling to the studs... no going to seal the board since i still cant figure it out. after that i will stretch and cover all with a plastic clear vapor barrier. and then drywall
  12. Maybe I didn't explain this great the reason it needs to be secure is because I'm going to be mounting some shelves that will hold all my scrap wood: 2x4's, trim, molding, etc. I have the ability to put one screw at each end, maybe just epoxy the middle down? I will spend some time today roughly drawing out my thought let me know what you guys think in the meantime please offer suggestions
  13. Ok guys. I picked up all my insulation today. No one at HD knew for sure what I have to do. If I can just put it up and drywall, if I install backwards then staple plastic over and then drywall, if I staple up plastic first then put up insulation and drywall..... Are there any contractors here who know? Really want some solid info before I start. Thanks guys Again it's going over solid gypsum board:
  14. Picked this Milwaukee stapler up. Anyone else have? Not sure if it's worth $30... Mine broke. Need it to staple up insulation. Thoughts?
  15. I thought a drill extension would of been best since it needs to be about 3ft long. I can't get my arms behind the thank. I am also just building wall behind the tank
  16. So I am trying to finish up an area of my work shop that is behind my oil tank... It's been this way for years b/c it's always been a pain to get to. A few years back I just put shelves in front and put overflow things on them. Now that my basement if fully finished they will be getting moved out. I want to finish framing out the rest of the wall and then put shelving on the back wall to hold a lot of my scrap wood, molding, etc. The problem is that I no way to move the big tank or get behind it. I need to fix the 2x4 to the concrete behind the tank... I was thinking I would just use a 3 ft or so extension on my Milwaukee fuel hammer drill and drill the holes and then set the concrete screws. But there was nothing like that at Home Depot or a few other places I looked, all they have is the 1 ft Milwaukee impact extension. I need something around 3 feet long, whether it's solid or multiple sections so I can drill and then set screws. I will just sit on top of tank to do it. Does anyone have any suggestions? Should I bail on drilling and screwing into the concrete? is there an extension to shoot nails or maybe just a super strong epoxy..? I have attached some pictures below, there is just enough room to get the wall up behind it w/ about an inch to spare I'm not going to be sheet rocking this part just wanted to frame it out so I could run shelving above the tank. What you can't see in the pictures is at on the other side of the tank there's about 3 feet of open wall so I have the ability to go behind over there on the other slide and put the board in place and screw or nail the first 2 of about 4 into the concrete. Sorry if the pics are not the best...
  17. Great video as always man. Thank you!
