  1. I stopped by Builders today hoping to find a ds400 and a combination lock for the door I just built. I left the store instead with a lock, no ds400, and possibly my first Milwaukee purchase. I found a ds450 but I wasn't interested in it. The first Milwaukee product I got was a 5 pack of pruning blades. Neither the Milwaukee or the Diablo pruning blades I looked at were painted. The teeth look discolored on both blades not sure why. Looks cool. The Milwaukee was a 5 pack at around $3 a blade vs the Diablo that was a 1 pack at around $10 a blade. Looks like they will do wonders on trees and bushes. They have same/similar kerf and length as my Lenox wood demo blades but the height is less. I may try out some ax carbide in the future to see how they compare but not right now because they are a bit pricey.
  2. great video. When will the quad hammer come out?
  3. I see a new shop.

    Family work

@Cr8ondt @Atlas2000 essentially accept the extra pay cause well off area or reject the extra pay cause family?
  5. Maybe the gear mechanism on the flexvolt and the Metabos have different gear mechanisms to reduce the risk of metal hitting metal wear.
  6. looks nice. is that a workbench/small working area I see inside the trailer?
  7. Ima say we got around 24 cuts that day. Not sure how good that is or not. I tried to go slower cause I knew the blades would last longer. Seemed like the blades last awhile. We got most of the pipe cut out today. I enjoyed the work. Was challenging figuring out where to cut. Hardest part was making sure the pipe didn't clamp on the blade. Does that press tool cut the pipe? Do you still instal cast iron pipe or does plastic and copper pipe only get installed?
  8. Wow that has an engine from a respectable manufacturer. I would've figured they would've switched to a no name brand by now. Looks like a good find.
  9. I think it has something to do with the url change a few weeks ago. professional-power-tool-guide was changed to toolsinaction. I thought we were supposed to be able to use both but maybe a bug developed in the system within the past few days?
  10. seen a video where this was used in a server room for sound proofing. Looked like the mess is more with denim than fiberglass.
  11. need me to get my recip saw and cut out the pipe... I mean fix the pipe. haha
  12. Another thing to add is sometimes the wall isn't square so you may need to take that into consideration as well as making sure the saw is good and square.
  13. So this is not ok to do on a DeWALT grinder but on a Metabo grinder it is ok?
  14. What do you mean by no jam? I would agree the tool does shake a lot in this mode during impacting. Not a big fan of the shaking. Less shaking would be much appreciated. For its intended purpose it does what it is intended. Can't say I have ever broken a fastener in this mode or sank a fastener too deep because of the tool fastening too quickly or with too much power. This mode is not designed to be fast, it is designed to prevent these 2 issues even if it may not be executed as well as it could be. In some situations it would be nice to have a bit more torque before the impacting starts. One can only be optimistic that the next generation of precision drive mode is improved without sacrificing the intended purposes. Hopefully the tool connect impact will provide the solution.
  15. I know but it was intended to be a joke answer.
  16. May I ask why you don't like this mode? It is slow but isn't that the point? I like this mode except I have never had a Makita to compare it to.
  17. looks like DeWALT isn't the only one to try this technique out.
  18. don't forget to wear your dust mask. Smoke is bad for the lungs.
  19. That's too bad it would be more efficient with brushes. Faster heat build up.
  20. made from triple weave diamond plated nano aluminosteel.... in Milwaukee Red which makes it 10 times stronger.
  21. Finished the door finally. Used some Sherwin Williams golden oak stain and the Minwax polyacrylic finish.
