  1. I bought a glue applicator set from Rockler. It should arrive tomorrow. has a roller and a silicon brush and a few other things I think.
  2. Apparently the most exciting thing at the event was at the "secret" event which has NDA's. I wish I knew what was shown at the secret event but maybe one day we will know. I just know it had something to do with showing off what Forge is really capable of.
  3. Any tools at the show that you guys liked? Anything you guys didn't see that you wished you saw? I thought the impact wrenches where you can set specific torques looked like a nice upgrade but they didn't get much attention. The 1/2 inch router was good to see. My favorite feature was the led lights. The guide rail accessory was nice to see too. looked like it was built quite well. The Forge batteries seemed like classic Milwaukee trying to have max power claims. I thought this year was kinda a mediocre year for Pipeline/NPS. I would have liked to have seen some MX Fuel ope. I don't see why we can't have any mx fuel stuff when other brands have ope with similar voltages as MX Fuel. Maybe this year was just to introduce the possibility of whats to come and next year will show what Forge is truly about. Hopefully next year will be more exciting.
  4. A bit ago we saw some new Festool tools at an event in the US. Later there was an international event with more tools. A few of those tools from the international event are coming here in. addition to the some of the remaining ones we saw at the US event. They are up for preorder right now. The Ts60 is one we already have here but the scoring blade version is confirmed to be coming now. The new 12v cxs is coming. The reciprocating saw and cxs/txs 18 which were hidden at the US event but not talked about in the coverage is coming. The dual battery table saw we already saw is coming soon. The systainer compatible canvas tote is coming. One thing that is NOT coming and I have confirmed with Festool is the 8ah that Europe got awhile back. Super irritating. Why is it still not coming here after all this time? The extra power and runtime it provides would be nice. They could potentially make a cordless ts60 using them or even a cordless ro150/ro125, of1400, or ts75.
  5. Milwaukee is having another Pipeline on August 8th. Post anything and everything related to Pipeline 2023 here.
  6. Is the MetaboHPT/Hikoki 1/2 inch router made in China/Mexico?
  7. Looks like the interchangeable base option is what Milwaukee went with. It also looks to have a dual led feature and looks to come with a dust shroud. Not sure what the shroud looks like. I also saw there will be a sold separate accessory for using the router on a guide rail.
  8. This also has a plunge base or either a plunge version. Not sure which. I will have to do some digging to find out I guess. Sounded like this was catered more to the jobsite so maybe more brute force and less finesse. I'm not sure about dust collection but I doubt it would be as good as the high end German routers. I wouldn't be surprised if DeWALT came out with a 1/2 inch compatible one shortly. I would be surprised if DeWALT changed much on a 1/2 inch when compared to the 1/4 inch. Maybe a spec bump on the motor at most.
  9. I had an incident of forgetfulness and left my KeyBar on my bumper of my truck. I never found it which included 5 keys. I ordered a new KeyBar replacement. It should arrive today. I also decided to pick up some of those AirTag things and will instal one on the new KeyBar. Maybe if the keys go missing a second time I will have a better chance at finding them.
  10. the new model has a much more stable base and does not trip over with a 5 ah attached.
  11. I found a listing for a new 28 inch 2 stage snowblower from Ego. There is also an updated 24in. 28 inch EGO Power+ SNT2807 (kit) SNT2800 (bare tool) POWER+ 28 in. Self-Propelled 2-Stage Snow Blower with Peak Power™ Price - $2199 for 12 ah kit - $1499 for bare tool Estimated ship date - Late October 24 inch EGO Power+ SNT2416 (kit) SNT2419 (bare tool) POWER+ 24 in. Self-Propelled 2-Stage XP Snow Blower with Peak Power™ Price - $1799 for 10 ah kit - $1199 for bare tool Estimated ship date - Late October Includes a steering assist feature not present on the previous 24 in model. Also looks to have a new single lever system for controlling chute direction and chute angle similar to what the Toro snowblowers use. The old model had a 2 lever system.
  12. Still no updates. I am kinda disappointed. Based upon the pricing I see in Europe the pricing listed above in USD seems a bit low. Maybe Ego will just price the products lower in North America than they are pricing them in Europe.
  13. Picked up the Ego 765 cmf blower. My 650 cfm was giving me trouble for quite some time and I decided it was time to retire the old blower. The new one sounds quite a bit different almost quieter.
  14. Gripty the maker of the Flexmate silicone tray no longer has a working website. When you go to their site it redirects to a site I have never heard of called caddytool. Anyone know the status of the Gripty brand? I have a few of the trays and they are really nice. I also checked the gripty instagram and it either can't be found or is private.
  15. They claim everything to be of professional quality. Not a box full of junk tools. So far it has been decent. There are some tools not for me and others that are great that I never knew I wanted but wish I had sooner.
  16. Tool Crate arrived. Some nice tools inside. We got a DeWALT bag. First DeWALT item we have gotten so far if I remember correctly. We got a Crescent chisel and punch set. We got another Unilite light. We got some bolt/nut clamp I think. I will have to look into it some more to figure out what it really does. We also got a Crescent pocket level and a packout 20 oz tumbler. There was also a Tool Crate sticker and a patch.
  17. I also got a 3 gallon kit of Black Forest Wood Company Deep Pour 2:1 Epoxy. I liked their oil so I decided to try out the epoxy.
  18. I was told the saw is an entirely new saw and not just a cordless version of a corded tool. Seems like this would do well in North America too. I could see the capacity being an issue for some especially larger crown moldings.
  19. I picked up a set of 8 Wera Joker ratcheting wrenches in inch sizing. I already had the metric version and really liked them. I like that Wera wrenches are a brushed finish and no a chrome finish. I am not a fan of chrome
  20. Festool can be slow at times but their cordless lineup is much larger than it used to be. The nice thing is the new batteries work with the 18v chargers meaning the 18v, 18v ergo, and new 12v batteries only need one charger type. DeWALT also has this feature on some chargers. I have a few Festool 18v batteries and I feel they fit really nice and better than more popular brands. The DeWALT batteries I have have a good amount of play in them when connected. I might even like to see the Festool battery be the standardized battery system but that won't happen and there might even be better options out there I have not tried.
  21. I got even better Festool International youtube posted a video on it.
  22. Festool just had an event and announced a major redesign to the 12v CXS and TXS. It looks to have a new battery pack more akin to the current 18v design but smaller. It even has a fuel display. The stand out feature to me is the 12v drills are now compatible with the 18v chucks meaning chucks are now completely compatible across the entire Festool drill lineup. I think that is a great move because you don't have to buy a bunch of chucks that work with only one model of drill. There was also a new cordless saw using two batteries like the Kapex but with a fence that is very different. The fence has the ability to angle almost more like a metal cutting saw but it seemed more like a wood cutting saw but I could be wrong.
  23. I'm not much in the know on Metric shank bits. Is there a second Metric size of shank that is common? 1/4 inch is quite common here especially on the smaller routers.
  24. Also the same product but under 100 different names issue is quite bad too. I don't want gkjhg drill or astwre drill or [fill in the blank no name brand] drill. I want a DeWALT or a Milwaukee or a [fill in the blank name brand] drill.
  25. The two KREK2440 clamp kits I ordered came the other day I also got the Ultra Shear bit in. To my surprise it came with a RackBit base included. I might have to try out the full RackBit system priced a bit high though.
