  1. I needed 4 u bolt to hold the locks into the 2 Ridgid Boxes I recently bought as they were missing. Ridgid said to contact Knaack for parts. Knaack wanted 11.00 for 1 U bolt and 2 nylon stop nuts.  I picked up the wire rope clamps for 1.48 a two pack.

The WD-40 Gel I picked up for table saw, jointer and my Stanley clamps. The clamps got a lot of surface rust on them over the rainy winter we had. I have a lot of wire wheeling to do.

The saw horses were a good deal at 30.00 a piece, not worth making my own.

  2. For the most part I stopped saving misc screws, nuts and bolts etc. I have a great hardware store a few blocks from my house so I just buy as I need it.

With that said I have about 6 of these that I like http://www.homedepot.com/p/HDX-15-Compartment-Interlocking-Small-Parts-Organizer-Black-2-Pack-320034/204515485.

I also have a bunch of these for the common use stuff. http://www.homedepot.com/p/DEWALT-10-Compartment-Deep-Pro-Small-Parts-Organizer-DWST14825/203367153

  3. I guess I'm trying to figure out who buys Lamello tools and fastener systems?

I work at the largest non union set shop in LA. 10 table saws, 18 new chop saws, water jet, 6 CNC one more on order, full metal shop, a bunch of festool in the tool room. Yada yada yada.

I recently interviewed at a place that does high end permanent installs in large institutions across the country and their equipment was no where near my current shop.

I have been in woodworking shops, cabinet shops etc... I have been collecting tools for about 30 years now and I have never even heard of Lamello till Rich posted that video.

Someone must be buying this stuff, who?

Thats the whole point of these... When the blade gets bound up in a cut. You just snap it off and cut your way out. :)

  5. The larger clamps get very expensive to build a nice collection. I bought all of these between CL and Ebay (local Pick up) A bunch of Jet clamps came up on CL by me not too long ago, but I figure I already have enough. Depending upon your area I would keep looking on CL and see what comes up.I don't think I have more than 350.00 into all the clamps on that wall.

Cool. I'm just a tad NW of Charleston. Probably 2 hours from Webster Springs. That's a nice area if you're into the outdoors. Lots and lots of Protected State and National Forest over in that area.

My friend lives in Hamlin but works in Charleston, small world. When I lived on the east coast I used to head down that way to chop with them.

@KnarlyCarl: It did make for a good pic didn't it. It was $25 well spent.

@SetBuilder: There are some perks to living in West Virginia. We lucked out and got property (with a house) that was cut off a family farm and would have never came up for sale had it not been for a divorce. We're on top of on of the highest points in the county. Can't get any pics tonight, but even on a Remotely clear day I can see a good 40-50 miles out my back window. I'll try to remember to get a pic tomorrow.

How far are you from Webster springs WV? I have a friend whose family runs a Timbersports show there every Memorial day weekend. http://www.woodchoppingfestival.org.

I competed there once in the B division.
