Almost forgot. What is this being used for if you are allowed to say.
A reception desk, I'll know more after the install.

What movie were ya filming?
We were setting up scenery we built for a play. There really are very few movies filmed in LA these days. I work out of a non union shop, so we mainly build for commercials. The unions have movies locked up.

I drove through that area today. Tons of wild flower blooms along I15, traffic was almost at a stand still at times as cars were pulling over.

I sold some gymnastic mats on CL for 350 and as part of the deal I was to meet the guy 1/2 way to San Diego. Then I saw 2 Ridgid Boxes for 200 each in the same area. I offered him 350 for both and the deal was made Since my shop is in a car port I've wanted a better way to secure my tools. I'll Probably bolt them together and lag them to 8x8s.

Radius work... Always fun and challenging. Made even more so if the customer requires a solid wood face wrap at full dimension thickness.
Wow, I could not imagine how to do that. This will get a combination of formica, bushed aluminum and birch veneer.

That's really cool looking. The frame doesn't quite look inward sloping like the drawing though. Do you get "build exactly this" plans or do you get some latitude in the details?
Its just the pic, its supposed to be square, no slope. What a pain getting the frame exactly the same as the CNC cut radius desk portion. We wrapped the inside with 2 layers of 1/4" MDF. Carpenters get very little input, its always between the designer and client.

hmm I was pretty sure what I paid for mdf at school was around $30. Maybe my school had higher grade mdf?
30.00 a sheet is the standard price at HD or Lowes my shop buys it by the truck load.

At around $30 for a 4x8 sheet of mdf it would be fairly cost effective I would think.
I'm not sure of the cost of MDF but no way do we pay $30 a sheet. I buy 3/4 Birch Plywood from my shop for 24.00 a sheet, 3/4 CDX is about 15.00 a sheet. We buy in such bulk I doubt its more than 15.00 for a 4x8 x 3/4 sheet of MDF.

In every shop I have ever worked in, guys complained about not having a press.
But some how we always managed to get the job done with out it. So a press is very low on my want list.

oh I think I understand now. I was looking for a switch but could find any but now realized I need o find the outlet the switch controls and not the switch itself. Im guessing the switched outlet is one of the 3 on the right not sure which one though.
Now your catching on, one of a 4 gang switch in the master bedroom controls the bottom right outlet (By her desk). On each side of the bed we have a 4 gang that is half hot. The switch controls the other half, it is also a 3 way to the switch by the door. This way you can turn on the bed side lamps as you enter the room and turn them off with a switch by the bed, instead of reaching up to turn the knob on the lamp.
Even with as much planning as we did there are still a lot of things we would have done differently after living in the house. I just don't feel like opening walls up again. Although I may open a few.... It never ends.

@SetBuilder let me guess the very top left is outlet is the switch since it looks different than the rest. May I ask why so many outlets on one wall?
Nope, that one has direct USB ports for charging phones etc. It is the wall behind my wife's desk, she hates cords running all over the place. So she wanted short runs for computer, printer, lamps, router, etc.

OH MAN wow!! 6 double gangs and each one can be split into two, you have 24 outlets to check out of this lot LOL
My wife planned out the lighting and outlets. In our 2500 sqft house between the outlets, sconces and ceiling fixtures, there are at least 140 boxes, probably more.

Once we have the frame made we were able to bend 1/4in MDF for the inside, it was not easy, but we were able to glue it and staple it. There are two layers of 1/4 in on the inside. On the outer layer we used 1/4 in for the first layer, then 2 layers of 1/8 in mdf before the birch veneer. The final layer of MDF was put on with contact cement, so nothing would show through the veneer.
