At this point I can't see the cordless routers, please convince me otherwise. With a five amp battery on top they are top heavy and weigh almost as much as a PC 690 with half the power.

My 50-pound box of US-made, contractor-grade hole saws just came. 78 hole saws, mostly 3"+ and at least half of them carbide-tipped, for ~$140, and free shipping! I probably couldn't have gotten more than 6 of the largest ones for that at HD. As much as I detest traditional bi-metal holes saws, there's just some things that 3-tooth TCT ones won't do. This is my 2nd order, got 35 pounds of them last time. Closeout at sawbladeexpress.com, if you're interested.
Please post a review of these after you use them a bit as they are one hell of a deal. But it seems too good to be true.

We have a 37" x 60" shower with dual shower heads and a steam unit. In 3 years the free standing tub has maybe been used 4 times.
In the last house we did we put in all the body sprays in the shower. That was a total waste and we did not bother with that again.

Local lumber yard had the bottom Pack Out box on wheels black friday sale at 89.00. No other pack out boxes in the store though.
HD had the Ridgid 3 box set for 99.00. Kind of a no brainer...

I do like the SawStop on/off switch on their cabinet models. The blade raise mechanism is very smooth too.
Most of the newer cabinet saws have the large Stop buttons. I prefer a stop that I can hit with my knee. I used to work at a shop with 10 Saw Stops and over time a lot of the mounting brackets broke that hold the On / OFF switches. Again over time the a lot of the blade raise lower mechanisms got very stiff. I can't blame the saws for that though as maintenance was dismal.

I have run cabinet saws from Saw Stop, Delta, Jet , Shop fox etc As long as they have a good blade on them and are maintained I could never tell the difference. With Saw stop you are paying for the skin sensing technology, and its up to you to decide if its worth it.

I have had the old one for 3-4 years now. I don’t think I ever used the side hose holder. I just leave the hose plugged in and loop it up to the handle to carry it.
I try and reduce extra steps to save time on a job, not add them.
Just my opinion, I’m glad your happy with the update. They are great vacuums.

I have both the Grizzly lumber rack and the Portamate rack. Other than color they are pretty much identical. For 26.95 the Grizzzly one is a great deal.
I think I paid around 40.00 for the Portamate when it was on sale.

Meh, I never had an issue with the hose on the outside.

This guy arrived today... and a couple cabinet pulls. Interestingly enough the cabinet pull actually came with long screws. So many times you buy cabinet pulls and the provided screws are too short. The GRS-16 has 4 threaded screw holes not sure why. Curious if they are for anything. Anyone know? Would seem like wasted work to drill and tap 4 screw holes if they are to be used for nothing. There was a thankyou note in the box for buying the GRS-16 and it had some interesting info. During the manufacturing process the squares are not color matched which means no two squares are the same color.
As for the threaded holes, if you go through their website, I’m pretty sure they have rails that attach to make it a bigger square

I first saw them on https://www.infinitytools.com/ssearch?q=coping+saw I always wondered how they work compared to old school coping saws.

The edges dull really fast.
I have to agree with Sparky, if you think Kleins dull too fast then I'm not sure what will make you happy. I can usually get years out of a pair or Klein cutters. Most guys I know buy them as the "GOOD' ones. I recently bought a pair of Knipex, but have not had them long enough to comment.

Is anyone using a magnetic table saw angle indicator? I'm looking for one that I can stick to the blade to set up my angles since the gauge on most table saws just get you in the ball park. I would prefer a dial over digital, but it seams most are digital these days. Is anyone using one and how do you like it?

I picked one up a week ago from them. Great item to keep in my tool belt so I have a lot of different tips on hand.

Does this really surprise you? Very common for small jobs. Just spray it with some water, wear a tyvek suit and mask, double bag it and throw it in the trash along with the suit and mask. I'm not saying its right, just the way its done. When I came across it on small home renovations of my own, it always seemed to disappear over night.

Systainers are so expensive though for what they are. I looked at Systainers in the beginning of the year for a storage solution and besides not being able to fit a Sawzall in them they start around $70 for a Sys1. $70 for a small box that’s not waterproof seems like a rip off. TSTAK’s would be a much cheaper option.
I agree, If I had a choice of getting my Festool items in a Systainer or a Ridgid box I'd go with the Ridgid tool boxes in a heart beat. I would never buy more systainers just for storage.

How accurate is the combination square you are using?

Who said it was only a 90 day warranty? Milwaukee will even pay the shipping both ways for repairs https://www.milwaukeetool.com/eservice

Once you put a 5amp battery on a trim router its as heavy as a mid sized router with half the power, so I'm not a fan of the current cordless trim routers.
Not sure why Jronman says the Makita has less vibration than the Ridgid. I have the Ridgid and it has no real noticeable vibration to me.
The Makita and Dewalt definitely have more power than the Ridgid. I also hate the height adjustment on the Makita. The Ridgid has a very nice height adjustment.
If you want it for more than laminate work I would go with the Dewalt or Porter Cable as they are pretty much identical, so I would let price determine between the two.
I would not put a trim router in a table, I would go mid sized and up for that application. Just my opinion...

I'd like to see them in person. The price point is about double of the Ridgid boxes so I really see no reason to switch since I own 5 Ridgid boxes already. Unless they drop the price, Ridgid and Dewalt boxes will still be the main stay for most people.

I would love to get my hands on one of those. With the larger base it doesn't look as top heavy as the cordless trim routers. I have used the cordless Ridgid router but the not the Makita.
