Such a great looking set. I have zero need for them, but I want them lol.

If they truly are rebranded Komelon tapes, they feel pretty good and hold up well. I used a Komelon overseas that I bought from Walmart as a cheap one that I wouldn't care if someone stole it. My only issue I had with it is the seam on the rubber at the front of the button. I dropped mine a couple times (maybe from a 4' height) onto a concrete pad and it broke at the tip of that seam. Theres barely any plastic connected to the rubber right there. Having said that, it didn't have any negative effect on the usage. It held up well in sandy conditions and I still have it and works as good as the day I bought it. I would gladly take a carton of those for $5. Great deal.

Only ever owned one, and it's the Poulan Pro PP46BT. Got it for $200 and it definitely moves some leaves (even wet, same day it rained).

I was just pricing out mowers at The HD and noticed Hondas coming in around the same price as an EGO. I've always heard good things about Honda mowers. My problem definitely comes to paying the same amount as a honda. It's crazy.

Looking at replacing my dead mower for the spring and was considering the EGO self propelled mower. Only thing holding me back is the price. I've watched some reviews (including the TIA one) and was curious if anyone else here has had personal experience with them? Also, what are the chances they release a newer version this coming year? And final question is, do they ever go on sale or have any deals at The HD? Thanks!

Its not a problem at all. I was just curious what issues you had and they ended up being similar to mine. I'm also in the same boat where I won't be making a living off of this saw and it's mainly DIY/woodworking hobby saw which should hold up good. I appreciate the feedback.

@Conductor562 Fair enough. I agree about the bevel adjustment, it took me a few minutes to figure out how it works. Same with the miter adjustment. I think overtime I'll get use to it and it should be good. The saw seems solid, but I'll have to take a look at the same spot on mine from those pictures and see if I have the same issue. My main concern with it was the reviews said there was a wobble with the blade. I'll test it out tomorrow.

@Conductor562 Mind me asking why your initial impression of the miter saw isn't great? Picked it up yesterday as well and haven't gotten a chance to cut with it yet. I did mess around with it a bit as I was getting everything setup and the bevel system is a little awkward as is the detent override on the front. Those are the only two things I found to be a slight pain, but I can see getting use to them overtime.

Black Friday shopping was a success! I was wanting to get the flexvolt miter saw, but after thinking about it and considering cost/benefits, I figured it would be a stupid purchase for just doing DIY stuff. So I went with the new Rigid R4221 miter saw. Got tired of looking at my kobalt bag of hand tools that were overflowing as well as the bag of my porter cable tool set along with my dewalt drill, so I bought a husky tool box set. Also needed a ladder, so I bought the Werner 4 in 1 22' ladder which is really nice and sturdy. And found a set of 3 husky medium duty gloves. All in all, great deals. Looking forward to trying out the miter saw, but will have to wait a couple days. My thinking behind getting one of the cordless ones was to get into the flexvolt line and have extra batteries for my other 20v tools. Also if I have to lug it around, it'll be nice not to deal with a cord and finding an outlet. And my other thinking was, I want to buy a really good one now that should last me a lifetime instead of a cheaper one that may not hold up overtime/may not be that great and I'll have to end up buying another. My problem is, I'm not sure I'll ever use it to its full potential and use it enough to justify the higher price, so a cheaper one might be the better option. I have a lot of projects I want to do, one of which includes crown molding. One of the cheaper ones I was considering was the new ridgid, but I keep reading about a bad wobble that you get with it, even with a better blade. That has me questioning the durability of that one. If I was in the industry, it would be an easy decision. But I'm thinking because I'm not, a cheaper one should hold up just fine.

Congrats. I'm stilling debating with myself whether or not I really need this saw. Or if a cheaper one will suffice my needs.

Technically $599 isn't lower because that's what Home Depot is offering, so I don't think this will work for you unfortunately. And I also saw you say that Home Depot took their deal down in the Black Friday post. Is that just because they had people take the ad down until Black Friday? Or did you see/hear something different?

I picked this backpack blower up the other day for $199 (normally $219) at Lowes and was definitely impressed with the power. As I was researching getting a backpack blower, I really wanted the EGO one, but they never had it in store at The Home Depot for me to look at it and to get a feel for it. After running this one, I'm happy I chose gas over battery. Ran this thing full blast for an hour and a half and still had some gas left over to keep going. My grass needs to be cut and the leaves were wet and it didn't phase this thing at all. It's also lightweight at 19 lbs compared to some of the more expensive ones. After all was said and done, I had zero fatigue. Another thing I learned was that Poulan Pro is actually made by Husqavarna, so I definitely felt comfortable getting this knowing I was getting a solid leaf blower. Lowes had 29 reviews for this thing, and all but one that I found was positive. I believe this leaf blower is a newer release (I think I read September timeframe?) for Poulan Pro, and at least for me, it hasn't been a disappointment thus far. Been reading the forums for the last few months and watched a lot of TIA videos during those few months as well. Looking to get into woodworking and doing some DIY projects around the house. Seems like a good community and will probably ask a few questions here and there.
