  1. We can try it again tomorrow now that everything is enabled on my phone. Leave me with your impact, run some errands and mark it missing, see if it discovers it without me doing anything.
  2. CPO has it for like $10-15 more so it's tempting to get the anniversary edition just because I can.
  3. I don't either, but if companies see value in it they'll get their crews using the app.
  4. Yeah, the Metabo I'm interested in is German in origin. WP9-115QUICK 4-1/2 In. Angle Grinder w/Non-Locking Paddle Switch
  5. I commented on Kruger's Instagram post about it that if they just increase the price slightly I'm sure they could include a wifi chip that can automatically connect to public wifi and update locations. That would require more investment into updating the One-Key software but it would basically make the range unlimited. My laptop and iPhone both update iCloud on a regular basis through wifi and cellular networks, the laptop also has Prey installed and a guest account specifically to ensure anyone who steals it has a means to use the internet and give away where it is.
  6. Milwaukee is apparently launching a One-Key tracker called "The Tick" that can be attached to tools and trailers. It's range and requirements are still the same as standard One-Key tools, meaning if there is no one using One-Key in your area you're SOL and even if there are some users your chances of finding it still require them having the app running when their near your tools. It comes in single units, 4 packs, 10 packs, and 50 packs.
  7. Brothers, twins to be exact. I'm older by 2 minutes, he's taller by 2 inches. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Crap, I just made an Amazon purchase and a box of tape measures would have been a fine add on item. Next time I need to buy something I'm going to wait an extra day and make sure nothing pops up that I should add.
  9. That's odd that they would ship the new Bluetooth speaker with a standard AC adapter like you find on most smaller electronics if they plan to release a 18v shaped adapter. I'm glad the speaker can be plugged in or powered by a battery, but it seems pointless to include a solution that they are essentially replacing in the suspected near future.
  10. Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook have been my go to for contacting most companies whether publicly or privately and it always gets a response. I've dealt with Milwaukee on all three platforms and never had a problem getting answers. It does take a couple of hours for a response because they likely deal with a lot of people per day and have to get answers. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Hey, don't ruin the market! You have supply you just need to create the demand. You could probably toss them on ebay for $15-20 each and find someone who wants them. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. I was thinking with panels it would make it easier to keep them aligned so that glue ups would be easier. As for splines, I don't have a table saw and it seems like all of the instructions I find call for a table saw or using a biscuit joiner as a replacement.
  13. That's good to know, I don't see myself using it for anything that would be real hard or have a lot of joints. I would most likely just be for things like picture frames to reinforce miters or aligning small panels. If I get into more frequent door or table making where I need to join large panels I'd probably invest in a Domino or make my own mortis and tenons.

  17. I'll be heading to Home Depot to checkout the grinders before picking a cordless one up so I can see how they feel in my hands. The braking Milwaukee is $70 more than the regular fuel one so while I like the added safety it'll depend on whether or not I want to spend the extra money and they feel good in my hands. The Metabo corded one I am interested in is $125 or $135 if I want the gold anniversary edition, that's the only reason I'm even considering them. The cordless ones won't be added to the collection unless I find some other Metabo cordless tools and buy a bare tool.
  18. I would be happy with anything as well, but the sander and the IR impact wrench would be my top choice. I don't typically get too much snow and when I do the main road is never cleared very well so the Ego would get the driveway clear but I wouldn't be able to go anywhere.
  19. Or an estate sale, since they are actually for getting rid of things unlike a garage sale where someone may be attached to something and want higher price because they don't want to get rid of it or because it has sentimental value.
  20. This has been a very helpful topic, I need to pickup a grinder or two. I'm looking at the Milwaukee M18 2780-20 or the Makita 18v XAG10Z for a cordless one, and the Metabo WP9-115QUICK for a corded grinder. I like the idea of the Metabo cordless ones, but they all appear to be $400+ for a kit and I can buy other tools with the money saved for my existing battery platforms.
  21. Mods I believe I've adhered to all of the rules for this post if I haven't please let me know what I need to do to fix it or if I need to remove it. --- I have a brand new M12 2462-20 1/4" Impact Driver bare tool that I'm looking to part with, it's a brushed impact driver. I bought this as a kit that came with a free M12 3/8" ratchet since I needed more batteries and the ratchet on November 11, 2016. The impact has never been used. I already have this same impact model as part of another kit so I don't really need two of the same tool in this case. The tool retails for $79 but I'm selling for $50 which includes shipping. I'm in Queenstown, MD so I'm willing to ship to anywhere in the continental US via USPS Flat Rate, payment via PayPal.

No and to be honest I haven't used it that often or in a while, I just remember it feeling off when I did use it. It could have been a different reason I didn't like it, but for some reason my mind is just remembering the battery being a problem/annoyance. I'll have to pull it out and use it to see if I can remember what the issue was.
  23. When and if they decide to make a M18 version obviously. I have yet to see or hear anything about one-key M12 tools, but that would be nice. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. Yeah, I'm leaning towards the 18v Makita after thinking about it more. It's one less cord to worry about and I can use it anywhere in or outside the shop without having to move things around to plug it in.
