  1. It is frustrating when kit doesn't chooch, but at least Dewalt stepped up to help.
  2. SDS, or rotary hammer, drills don't have rotational torque, it's just not part of what they're about. Any high voltage combi drill will almost certainly have the gumption to do what you're asking. Just be sure to get one with anti-kickback, your wrists will thank you!
  3. M12 spotlight, 750 lumens, very bright!
  4. Got the M12 radio a few months back, no Bluetooth, but good reception and sound quality. Runs for a good two days on a 6 Amp pack, but that depends on volume. Compact size and does have a 3.5mm Jack for mp3 etc.
  5. Large steel bits are so much better on low speed, they cut far more efficiently. Running them at high speed kills the bits and the machine! Slow it down.
  6. Referring back to the heat comments, I've had my M28 brushless so hot it was uncomfortable to hold! Never cut out though!
  7. I have the Dewalt Flex and love it, superb power. Runtimes are a little short, especially on the 2/6, but noticeably better with a 3/9, so can only assume another huge jump from the 4/12. For what I do, the 5" is just about enough, but would like to see a 7" version released. Look forward to the vid, you guys work well in these comparisons.
  8. Some nice kit in there! The petrol chainsaw didn't seem to be throwing much dust, maybe they gave it a blunt chain?
  9. I would go direct to manufacturer and explain everything you've explained here. I did this with a pair of Milwaukee V18 packs and they did replace them, night and day difference with the replacements.
  10. Inflator sounds very interesting! The UK might have them by 2020!

    M12 gen 2!

Ya ain't taking it with ya, enjoy it while you can.
  12. Charge rate on the radio? Is it a smart charger that alters the charge current to suit temperature and pack capacity?
  13. SDS all the way for concrete, the job's done in seconds and your ears don't bleed! Even the awful Ryobi sds will put small fixing holes in concrete, and that machine's woefully under-powered! Ideally you want above 2 joules of impact energy.

    M12 gen 2!

Love my gen 1 combo set, beautiful machines. Doubt I'll upgrade due to budget, but good to see innovative ideas bearing fruit.
  15. Always interested! How can you not be interested in a machine that smashes concrete?
  16. Lithium has to be charged correctly, I wouldn't feel comfortable using a charger knocked up in someone's shed!
  17. Theft? Totally unacceptable to take anything that's not yours, but even worse when it's someone's lively-hood! Not much of a consolation, but at least you get to play with shiny new toys.
  18. I'd hazard a guess and say they've used the internals from the portable power station? If I needed that much capacity, I'd be all over this, tis how all chargers should be made. I think the Hilti is similar, if not identical.
  19. You'd need to have some idea of what you're doing when it comes to choosing cells for your pack, but other than that this could definitely work.
  20. This cuts through hard brick with ease, impressed so far. I'm using a diamond blade, can't see the point in normal blades, your cuts get shallower with each pass! Only one stall so far, but that's not the machine, the battery wasn't fully charged when I started. On-off switch is very easy to use, almost too easy? This is the type of machine you definitely don't want to accidentally start-up! Definitely far superior to the Bright Green offering.
  21. Not keen on the safety switch that can be seen sticking out from the main trigger, looks like a weak point, but certainly seems to pack a punch, I'll update once I've had a proper go with it.
  22. Sent this back and am now the proud owner of this; Had one quick go in the front garden on a random piece of concrete and it ripped through it with ease! Roll-on tomorrow for some proper testing!
  23. Of all the drills I own, my favourite are definitely my Bosch 36v machines, bare bones brushed tech that is reliable and a joy to use! Before those I had Milwaukee V18 drills, brushed combi and SDS, they took such a beating and didn't give any grief for approximately eight years. The chuck finally gave out on the combi and the trigger needed replacing on the SDS. The trigger cost me forty quid and the chuck got a WD40 bath, then they were stolen. Great machines though. I hope that companies like Bosch and Hilti continue to offer brushed variants.
