  1. Home Depot has the fuel table saw with a 12 amp hour battery for $499 today only i have been wanting one for a long time but my truck needs brake pads, rotors, and calipers this week.🤬 i hoping it will be on sale again before Christmas.
  2. I have a bunch of M18 Fuel tools. I can’t say I have had a single issue. I use them professionally every day of the week.
  3. I was wondering if you guys might be able to give me some ideas on this little project.I was trying to figure out a way I could make a slide out shelf , for my cordless chopsaw.I normally setup my saw on its stand.I was thinking sometimes I just have one or two pieces of quarter round or transitions to cut , or if it is raining out I would be able to cut the material right inside my trailer .I would like the shelf to be able to lock so it does not slide out while I was driving . The shelf is 24” wide and I think if it slid out 18-20” I’d would begood. The saw weighs 45 lbs.
  4. I love the tool. No more fuel cells, no more cleaning/ maintenance. The lock out feature is awesome ( no more dry fires) The led light is nice. Super clean nail holes, no proud nails, no jamming ... so far
  5. What do you guys use for sawhorses . i just broke one my 15 year old Storehorse brand. I love them... they are tall, lightweight, and take up very little space, when stored in my trailer. Aparently they are no longer made. i looked at two DeWalt models, Kobalt, and toughbuilt. The plastic dewalt ones are very similar to what I had , except mine had a slot across the whole top edge to place a 2x 4 into.
  6. Has anyone here picked up or tried out the new 18 gauge brad nailer? I’m hoping to pick up the bare tool this week.
  7. I was at Home Depot a few days ago. They have a deal where if you buy a ( bare tool)fuel jig saw, hackzall , or impact ( I think) you get a free 2 pack of 3 amp HO batteries. I think I might pick up the jig saw. I have used cordless dewalt jig saws for years.
  8. Primatech 550ACR 18 gauge cleat/ stapler. Made in Canada, these are supposed to be the Rolls Royce of flooring nailers. I can’t wait to try it out!
  9. I have the mud mixer and mine makes that noise too. i haven’t had a problem with the chuck loosening up though. i love the tool!
  10. I wasn’t sure if there are any other flooring guys on this forum . I am in the market for a new cleat nailer and I was wondering if anyone is familiar with the Primatech brand of nailers.
  11. The radio looks awesome!
  12. The tool guy at my Home Depot, said they are coming out with a pack out radio. I would definitely buy that . My older Milwaukee radio stopped working with the AC cord , only works on batteries. I have the Dewalt tough system radio in my garage, it sounds awesome. I’m wondering how a new Milwaukee radio will compare .
  13. Isn’t that a 20volt tool ... not pneumatic? i have never used that stapler but, I’m guessing it has a depth adjustment. I have never had any luck with the bostitch staples. I have a couple of 18 gauge flooring staplers and underlayment staplers. They both call for 18 gauge 1/4” crown staples. The bostitch staples are 7/32” crown.
  14. These are the specs on it . I’m not sure that it would keep up with my underlayment stapler. We usually run that with a rapidfire until it runs out of staples .
  15. Thanks I never really thought of it. It would probably give me more light.
  16. Do any of you guys work out of a trailer? After starting out with a van ( in 1988) and then a few different cube vans, I have been working out of a trailer since 1997. The trailer works out really well for me . My current trailer is a 2012 United UXT 8’6” x 20’. Here are some pics
  17. Have any of you guys used the eagle brand air compressors? I was at a new home last week and the contractor had this one, and it was the quietest compressor I had ever heard . He said he has run two roofing nailer‘s at the same time with it , and it works excellent. I use a porter cable pancake compressor now, Before that I had at a Dewalt/ Emglo compressor. The DeWalt was pretty loud and the porter cable is ridiculously loud. I found this compressor is on sale at my local Runnings store for $199. I’m thinking about picking one up. I use a compressor for quarter inch crown staples, for underlayment and for my different hardwood staplers . I usually try to put the compressor outside and run the hose through a window but that is not always possible, especially in the middle of winter. https://www.aircompressorsdirect.com/Eagle-EA-4000-Air-Compressor/p70902.html
  18. I’m a packout guy too... Love them, my Home Depot store recently started carrying the boxes and they have the organizers. I guess they are going to be stocking the packout tool bags as well. I had a couple cases and I just picked up the three piece kit on sale for $199 at Runnings.
  19. I needed another tape measure like I need another hole in my head... but I couldn’t pass up $25 for a 2 pack.
  20. I bought the 2 piece set with the smaller packout box. What a difference from my 10+ year old Milwaukee drill and impact kit. $249.00 was a great price, my old one was $199 many years ago. The packout is really nice. I’m going to buy the medium sized packout , next for my fuel 7 1/4” circular saw .
  21. I was just in Home Depot and they have an extra $50 off either of these kits. My work is a little slow now so, I didn’t get one. The 3 piece kit has a 5 and a 6 amp hour h.o. battery.
  22. I got this Milwaukee M18 heat gun for Christmas. I used it for the first time, the last 2 days on outside corners on vinyl wall base. It is awesome. The weight of the battery makes it very stable when setting it on the floor.
  23. I was speaking to a Milwaukee sales rep at Home Depot and he had mentioned, not using any type of coated nails (like paslode nails) in the M18 gun. He said he gets his nails at Lowes I believe he said he used porter cable nails and had no fastener jams . I think I might pick one up and if I am not happy with it I will return it .
  24. Do any of you guys use this brad nailer? I was thinking about purchasing one . I have a paslode 18 gauge cordless nailer that was a Christmas gift 3 years ago. I love the tool when it works , between the maintenance of cleaning the tool and the drive blade breaking three times in three years , i am thinking about retiring the tool. I have a paslode 15 gauge angled finish nailer that is over 10 years old that has been a great tool. Also I have a 25-year-old porter cable pneumatic 18 gauge brad nailer that has never needed servicing and has never let me down. I use the 18 gauge, mainly to install baseboards and quarter round/ shoe molding. I like the convenience of not dragging out an air compressor and hose, especially when we’re doing a small bathroom on the second floor of a home . I have read some reviews on the Milwaukee and would like to hear your thoughts on it.
