  1. I am surprised that a vacuum adapter is not standard for all circular saws. You don't have to use it if you don't want to but I've only been able to find the Makita subcompact 18V that comes standard with it. Dewalt makes an add-on adapter for there DWE575 saw but that is about it. I bought a Milwaukee 18V brushless saw a week ago and used it for the first time over the weekend and made a mess of the garage...didn't realize saws spit out so much sawdust. The house is about 8 feet higher than the garage but the floor near the windows was covered with dust too. I took the saw back even though I really like it but am going to get one with a dust collection adapter and get a good vacuum to suck it all up before it hits the ground and gets into the air. There just are not many choices unless you make a DIY mod to the saw and I am a little reluctant to do that to a brand new saw out of the box. This is another issue all together but like many new DIYers I was looking to stick with a single platform for the sake of minimizing batteries and really liked the Milwaukee tools. That has me thinking going with the corded DWE575SB for a circular saw but keep the Milwaukee V18 drills. Wanted to a get a cordless circular saw too but the dust collection is more important than the cord vs cordless for a circular saw. After returning the Milwaukee tools was set on getting the Makita subcompact drill and saw but they feel like toys with all the plastic parts on them. I'm not a heavy user so I'm sure the plastic parts wouldn't be an issue but having used the Milwaukee tools first it is quite noticeable.
